1 Guitar Lab Picking & Strumming Assignment 5 Objectives 1. Practise alternate picking on one, two, three, four, five and strings at a time 2. Practise your awareness of all the neuromuscular differences between the heavy downstroke and the light upstroke Materials Metronome, Timer If you do not have a timer you can get one like this from Dick Smiths. Or use a cell phone alarm. If you do not have a metronome you can get one like this from Atwaters at 141 Hobson Street or your local music retail store. Step # Time MM Action Focus 1 2 mins 40 Metally review and recall the previous picking study labs you have done. Recall the single string, two string, three, four, five and six string exercises. As you mentally recall, let your neurology and muscles recall too. You are not trying to remember detail here but memories and sensations and impressions. 2 2 min 40 Set your timer.
