Future trends As we see it HIGH-VALUE PHARMA DRIVE AIR CARGO GROWTH But health care budget constraints impact margins and pharma company behaviour PHARMA IS GROWING At the same time R&D investments for biosimilar are at an all-time high level CLINICAL TRIALS WILL INCREASE The growth of clinical trials includes development of biological drugs, meaning: NEW PRODUCT INTRODUCTIONS pallets need to be shipped , for top 17 NPIs PRESCRIPTION (ORIGINAL BRAND VS. BIOSIMILAR) What shifts to expect for future patent expirations? Globalization of clinical trials Wider range of temperature requirements, e.g. room temperature and body temperature 8

Healthcare market trends With power to shift market dynamics Degree of innovation required Precision Medicine Clinical trials Volume Patent cliff Biosimilars Time 9

Healthcare market trends How to reinvent the business model in a new era? Degree of innovation required Patent cliff Biosimilars Clinical trials TCC Trend requires: Consolidation and deconsolidation of products/ parcels Close NPI monitoring/ collaboration Precision Medicine Cross-industry partnerships Trend requires: Smaller packaging, more frequency, freeze to body temperature range Supply chain monitoring from plant to patient Traceability across several product types and channels Sea-Air Logistics Trend requires: Lower cost of shipping Maintained quality Faster/more controlled launch Time 10

Visibility Gaps preventing supply chain from tackling challenges Security and compliance we want to know where the container is, for security issues, when stuck in customs - Supply manager, Pharma, Europe Time consuming excursion management we know situations occur that are out of our control, but the sooner we know, the sooner we can implement plans to correct it/overcome it - Head of logistics, Pharma, Asia Handling and processes we deliver to countries where the hand-over is not well developed. When temp deviation occur, we would like to know at what time and where this happened. - Manager Global Logistics Validation, Pharma, US Effective and segmented risk management we want to enable continuous process improvements with partners, some kind of continuous trade validation - Logistics, Pharma, US 13

Visibility Event Alarm Action We predict a higher level of integration and information sharing; going from collaboration to integration for increased transparency. There will be more focus on solutions for proactive actions and predictive analysis to secure integrity of the product. Both integration and near real time visibility data will be important enablers. Serialization and personalized drugs drive the need for tighter security of shipments; therefore both anti-counterfeit and other security services will become increasingly relevant. 14

Visibility Reliability include packaging solution and handling -How can we follow up and improve? Packaging Solution Partner Processes The outcome of a shipment is depending both on the performance of Packaging solution AND partners handling processes Visibility Improve Packaging solution Reliability Drive improvement of partner processes Pharma industry Proof of outcome 15

Increased visibility is key Envirotainer has developed a digital and integrated platform; driving visibility in the Pharma supply chain. Our vision for visibility Support the path of excellence in the supply chain in term of reliabilityand efficiency Achieve and easily demonstrate integrity and safety of pharma throughout the supply chain 16

Cost Less or more? Value for money is based not only on the minimum purchase price (economy) but also on the maximum efficiency and effectiveness of the purchase We are all doing really well with the improvements made and implemented over recent years! Could we do it even better? Sure we can! Cost to the packaging solution suppliers and to the logistics sector would undoubtedly increase when not jeopardising quality & reliability; whilst cost for purchasing such solutions & Services are likely to take a dive over the coming years; unless.. 18

Thank you! Ultimately we support patients Thank you! 19
