2 FedEx Ground Package Rates Inside this section are our regular published rates for U.S. and international (U.S. export) FedEx Ground services, and FedEx Home Delivery service effective January, 200.* FedEx Ground shipping rates are based on distance and weight. As a result, when you ship to closer destinations, you ll pay less than if your package is going to more-distant locations. FedEx Ground U.S. rates are organized by zone. Each zone represents a different mileage break. What You Need to Know 1. Package weight. Please round to the next-higher pound. 2. Destination zone. You can determine your destination zone based on the destination ZIP code. You can find out which zone corresponds to your package s destination ZIP code by using a FedEx Zone Locator. You can get a Zone Locator at fedex.com (click on Get Rates from the Ship tab, then on Create a FedEx Zone Chart).. FedEx Ground service type. FedEx offers FedEx Ground services to businesses in the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico, and FedEx Home Delivery service to residences in the U.S. *We reserve the right to modify, amend or supplement our rates. 13 Shipping Information for FedEx Ground Services All shipments are subject to the terms and conditions in the FedEx Ground Tariff. Excise Taxes FedEx Ground offers an Excise Tax Program (free of charge) for U.S.-to- Puerto Rico shippers. The program enables shippers, recipients and third parties to be billed for excise taxes. It eliminates delays caused by the recipient s inability to pay excise taxes at delivery. Contact your FedEx account executive for more information. Fuel Surcharge We reserve the right to assess fuel and other surcharges on shipments without notice. The amount and duration of any such surcharges will be determined at our sole discretion. By tendering your shipment to FedEx, you agree to pay the surcharges, as determined by FedEx. The fuel surcharge percentage will be subject to adjustment monthly using a rounded average of the National U.S. On-Highway Average price for a gallon of diesel fuel, as published monthly by the U.S. Department of Energy. Changes to the FedEx Ground fuel surcharge will be applied effective the first Monday of each month. The surcharge percentage will be reflected on your FedEx invoice. The percentage for each month will be available at fedex.com approximately two weeks before the surcharge is applicable. Oversize Packages R A package weighing less than 0 lbs. and measuring greater than inches but equal to or less than inches in length and girth is classified by FedEx Ground as an Oversize 1 (OS1) package. The shipping charges for an OS1 package will be the same as a 0-lb. package being shipped under the same circumstances. R A package weighing less than 0 lbs. and measuring greater than inches but equal to or less than inches in length and girth is classified by FedEx Ground as an Oversize 2 (OS2) package. The shipping charges for an OS2 package will be the same as a 0-lb. package being shipped under the same circumstances. R A package weighing lbs. or less and measuring greater than inches in length and girth is classified by FedEx Ground as an Oversize (OS) package. The shipping charges for an OS package will be based on the greater of the package s actual rounded weight or a 90-lb. minimum billable weight. A surcharge applies to any package that: 1) measures greater than 0 inches in length but equal to or less than inches in length; 2) is not fully encased in an outer shipping container; or ) is encased in an outer shipping container made of metal or wood. The surcharge also applies to any drum or pail (less than five gallons) that is not fully encased in an outer shipping container made of corrugated cardboard. The money-back guarantee does not apply to these shipments. We reserve the right to assess additional handling charges for packages that require special handling. Address Correction. If we are unable to deliver a shipment because the shipper-provided address is incorrect or is a P.O. box, we will attempt to determine the correct address, complete delivery and notify the shipper of the address correction. We assess an additional charge of for delivery or attempted delivery to the corrected address. The money-back guarantee does not apply to these shipments, and we are not liable for failing to complete delivery or meet our scheduled delivery time. Declared Value. Our liability for any package is limited to 0 unless you declare a higher value at the time you tender the package and pay an additional charge Note: Items of extraordinary value may have a maximum declared value of only 0. A.0 charge applies when you direct us to collect payment from your recipient and deposit it directly into your bank account. There is an additional weekly service charge of for deposit in hours, or for deposit in 2 hours. E.C.O.D. is available in the U.S. and to Puerto Rico only it is not available to or within Canada. FedEx Ground P.O.D. Advantage. You can choose to pay either 1 per package or per month when enrolling. FedEx Print Return Label. A 0.0 charge applies in addition to shipping charges once the return label has been used by the recipient. Hazardous-Materials Surcharge. A 20 surcharge is assessed on each package containing hazardous materials. Missing or Invalid Account Number. An additional handling fee of applies when no FedEx account number or an incomplete, inaccurate, invalid or deleted account number appears on the shipping document. Northern Canada Surcharge. An additional charge of over the Zone rate will apply for packages destined to the Yukon, Northwest Territories and Labrador. This applies to postal codes A0K, A0P A0R, A2V and X0A Y9Z. Oversize Charge. A 0 charge applies to FedEx Ground packages that measure greater than inches in length and girth, in addition to all other applicable charges. Residential FedEx Ground Call Tag. Residential Package Surcharge. Shipments delivered to private residences incur a 2 residential delivery charge in addition to all other applicable charges.
