4 SECURITY SOLUTIONS FOR CRITICAL INFRASTRUCTURES EC Directive 2008/114/EC and the subsequent local law decrees establish the procedures for the identification and designation of European critical energy and transport sector infrastructures, the methods for the assessment of the security of these infrastructures, and the relative minimum requirements for protection against man-made threats (accidental or deliberate), technological threats and natural disasters. The aforementioned directive and law decrees also define the specific responsibilities in the event of damage to or destruction of both local critical infrastructures (CI) and European critical infrastructures (ECI) essential for the maintenance of vital societal functions, and for the health, safety, security and economic or social well-being of the population. ISEO offers its services to support the creation of the Operator Security Plan (OSP), which defines the elements constituting the critical infrastructure and identifies the existing security measures, or those in the process of implementation, for each element.

6 MECHATRONIC MASTER KEY PLAN PERIMETER ACCESS MAIN ACCESS INDOOR AREAS CRITICAL AREA ACCESS WORK AREA SAFETY EXITS A mechatronic master key plan makes it possible to control and manage specific entrances with a programmable key. This key may also be enabled for limited periods of time, such as on predetermined days or during specific time periods only. The key may be used on all mechatronic and mechanical devices in the system. This solution may also be used to acquire and analyse event-related data (who, where, when and what), to ensure that the system as a whole is operating correctly and effectively, and allows instantaneous modification of user authorisation status, such as cancelling an active key.

7 REMOTE CONNECTIVITY FOR ACCESS CREDENTIAL MANAGEMENT The Locken LSA (Locken Smart Access) access management system allows access credentials to be transmitted wirelessly, with geolocation validation if necessary, to permit access to mobile users to specific entrances. This significantly facilitates emergency management while offering improved credential security and operational flexibility for users.
