The ELD will facilitate considerably more accurate recording of all Driver activity by providing snapshots throughout the Driver s day.

What is the ELD Mandate

Telematics Device Expansion Cable Electronic Logging Device ELD Package Example Mount

Benefits of ELD: FMCSA Estimates Annually: 1,844 Crashed Avoided 26 Lives Saved

Benefits of ELD: Safety HOS compliance prevents fatigued drivers from getting behind the wheel Reduced Fatigue Automatic Recording By automatically recording duty status, HOS compliance will increase

Customer: Unit Utility Fleet Accident Management Trends Fleet has 700+ units with an annual Accident rate of 14% 55% of the incidents were preventable

Benefits of ELD: Administrative Savings More Drive Time Drivers no longer have to fill out and submit paper RODS That s 130 Additional Hours that can be DRIVEN 30 Minutes a day X 260 Work days in year adds 5.4 Days

BIG DATA that Drives Compliance Capturing 100 plus data points daily per driver It makes telematics an active system for the drivers, not just passive oversight It provides work specific, human created live data for fleet managers to act upon throughout the day

Benefits of ELD: Maintenance Become proactive instead of reactive with your maintenance Remote Engine Monitoring Engine Fault Reporting Allows for better vehicle maintenance

Benefits of ELD: Maintenance The Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) reports that telematics technology can help a company reduce maintenance and repair costs by as much as 14%. Many factors including: rapid acceleration, speeding, idle-time and heavy braking are among the multiple behaviors that can be focused on to optimize fuel economy.

Benefits of ELD: Fuel Efficiency Market research has shown that the effective use of telematics can reduce fuel costs by as much as 14%. For example, for every 5 mph over 50 mph, a driver can reduce their MPG by approximately 7-14%.

Benefits of ELD: Fuel Efficiency Productivity & Fuel Efficiency Improve productivity, fuel efficiency, improved safety, reductions in collisions, and less time on paperwork and administration Collisions, speeding, and aggressive driving behaviors were found to be a contributing factor in 31% of all fatal crashes, while seat belt use was found to decrease the risk of a fatality by between 45% and 60%.

Leveraging the Data: Driver Scorecards Driver Scorecards Field Alerts Employee Awards / Gamification
