3 Code of Practice - Toys and Seasonal items (Child appealing) To help identify how the requirements must be met for each clause a P, R or O will be indicated under the columns headed PRO. These columns indicate whether the requirement is met through: P = Procedure - A documented procedure that has been fully implemented. R = Record - Documented and accurately completed records. O = Observation - Compliance will be checked through observation. SECTION 1 - All types of Toys P R O Section No. Checkpoint/Requirement Licensed Product 1.1 The factory must possess the appropriate certificate/authorization to produce licensed product An authorized and current letter/certification for factory to produce licence items (e.g. Facility And Merchandise Authorization (FAMA) report for Disney) Should keep the program documents/information. Raw Material Management / IQC Program 1.2 The Supplier must document and implement a procedure for inspecting of incoming raw materials (plastics, pigments, paints, solvents etc.) against AS/NZS 8124 or similar standards (EN71, ASTM F963) conducted. This must include where applicable: Recognized Sampling Plan or Sampling procedure. (e.g. MIL-STD-105, BS6001, GB2828 ) Product Specification/procedure/Safety testing and related Record/report. Recorded correlated with IQC procedure/product Specification The checkpoints related to critical measurement (length, weight, volume, etc...) should include measuring data. (if applicable) Suitable equipment to perform moisture content test of wood (if applicable) 1.3 The supplier must document and implement a procedure for inspecting of incoming critical components such as button batteries/coin cell batteries to an appropriate standard such as IEC The document shall include: Sampling plan Product Specifications and safety testing records or equivalent. Batch identification For products which contain button batteries the onsite QC will have an understanding of risks associated with button batteries and young children Woolworths Ltd. 4 SECTION 2 - Electronic Toys (not included any component uses mains) P R O Section No. Checkpoint/Requirement X X Production Process 2.1 The Supplier must document and implement a procedure to check/maintain testing equipment/manufacturing machine. This must include where applicable: The factory must provide a procedure to perform checking of the testing equipment/manufacturing machine effectively. A regular maintenance record and calibration for tester should be provided. e.g. Did factory perform pressure check according to procedure? (e.g. Pressure Crimper, screwdriver, etc...) Did factory perform annual calibration of tester? (e.g. Power Meter, Hipot test, Earthing test, Welding machine, etc..) Did factory demonstrate a online regularly verified for proper functioning of testing equipments by using approved samples, or defect samples? Button Cell Operated Items 2.2 The Supplier must document and implement a procedure to demonstrate items comply with Woolworths Policy The factory must provide & record the Woolworths Policy or specification A record to identify & monitoring the critical control point of the production process of items 2018 Woolworths Ltd. 5 SECTION 3 - Soft Toys (Included any fabric accessory) P R O Section No. Checkpoint/Requirement 3.1 The Supplier must document and implement a procedure for inspecting incoming stuffing material which includes: Inspect the stuffing free from infestation and/or foreign bodies Carry out the removal of any such infestation or foreign body Factory will provide the inspection records, Batch records if any applicable Production Process 3.2 The factory must have a process to remove ecess threads from garments once sewn which includes: The process for controlling and removing ecess threads All loose thread ends must be trimmed as close as possible to stitching Finished Products 3.3 The Supplier must document and implement a procedure for inspecting the seam strength of any sewing processed parts (including the sewing label, accessories etc.) and all accessories/ components must be tested for attachment strength. Factory must provide the Product Specification/Safety testing requirement and related client's specification Recognized Sampling Plan or Sampling procedure. (eg.
