7 ENGINEERED TECHNOLOGIES ELB Engineered Technologies is a total solutions provider in the minerals and metals industries, specialising in the design and construction of process plants as well as providing the associated supporting infrastructure. Combining a world class partnership between ELB Engineering Services and internationally recognised technology suppliers, Engineered Technologies leverages off the extensive experience and intellectual property of our partner companies, in designing and building innovative process solutions. Engineered Technologies offers complete process plants including modular processing plants for a variety of processing applications which include coal, diamonds, gold, phosphate, iron ore, manganese and chrome. The modular concept solves the problem of erecting a permanent facility when operations have to be moved to other locations. In addition, the modular concept accelerates the project due to the fact that both module and civil work can be undertaken concurrently. A spider frame ensures the correct interface between the plant and the civil foundation at the assembly stage. We also offer a wide experience in a range of commodities, with specialist expertise in Dense Media Separation (DMS), Spiralling and Gravity Concentration. Offerings include: Processing Plants Modular Conveyors Crushing and Screening Thickening Technologies Ore Sorting Magnetic Separation Milling Flotation An Engineered Technologies plant can be quickly and efficiently assembled and disassembled at different sites at less cost than a conventional processing facility, thus eliminating an initial large investment that is out of reach of many small tonnage operations and phasing of capital investment for future capacity. Engineered Technologies plants are designed and constructed in such a way that they can be transported by standard road haulage. This allows for the delivery of the plant anywhere in the world that is serviced by standard road infrastructure. Module capacity typically ranges from 100 to 400 TPH. For capacities greater than this, it would require the installation of an additional Modular Plant to the desired output. All off-the-shelf components used in Engineered Technologies Modular plants have proven track records and are sourced from well-established and respected suppliers to the industry. MCC and control rooms are incorporated into purpose built 40 foot containers which are based on a plug and play principle. For more information: 6

12 ELB ASSET MANAGEMENT ELB Asset Management has developed an innovative funding model to facilitate growing primarily the Junior Mining Sector, focusing on modular supplied plant and equipment. Value is added by funding the development of the mine, without the Mine Owner needing to spend his own capital, sacrifice equity or employ specialist engineering knowledge, in the interest of converting his mineral resource into profit. The funding mechanism is facilitated though charging a rate based tolling fee for processing all ROM material through the plant. The plant and equipment will be designed, built, owned and operated by the fund shareholder. The product take-off agreement will be managed by an independent party on behalf of the Mine Owner and Fund Shareholders. The business model best suits opencast mining with surface stockpiled material or the recycling of existing stockpiles. Underground mining will be considered on a case by case base. 11
