10 Quality System At opening in 1980 a quality assurance was implemented for the plant operations First quality assurance (QA) program, under two rules: 10CFR Part 36 and IAEA Code 50-C-Q. "Modernization Program of the Public Administration " of the Gov. of Mexico, demanded to adopt Total Quality schemes October 18, 2000, starts the process to obtain the ISO 9001:2000 QMS certification that ends in February 2002 Maintenance of the quality management system is a must: The QMS, stays with very good performance indicators endorsed through countless quality system audits and likewise inspections of the National Commission of Nuclear Safety and Safeguards (C.N.S.N.S.). We allow also audits of our customers, and have annual maintenance and recertification audits by the certifying agency (CALMECAC), In 2009 the plant`s QMS was certified with ISO 9001: /04/2017 IAEA meeting, Warsaw

12 Dosimetry Dose intervals and service dose catalog.- To establish process specifications and work with dose intervals and not with average dose. From October 2004 a database was developed with information of absorbed dose for selected products Statistical analysis conducted in 2006 in order to know the behavior of dose for groups product of densities (from 0.01 to 0.7 g / cc) Specification limits were defined at + 3σ and -3σ from the average, with a confidence level of 95% of the dose values are within this range 15/04/2017 IAEA meeting, Warsaw

20 CURRENT SITUATION The ININ gamma irradiation plant, during the last 15 years maintained a great dynamic of continuous operation work. For example in the year of 2013, were attended 7,130 service requests to 382 companies in a wide range of products. The annual preventive maintenance programs have been attended timely and solved the problems of failures with efficient improvement actions and programs 15/04/2017 IAEA meeting, Warsaw

21 PERSPECTIVES Persist in the increase of the installed capacity of the plant, this is still possible programming based on studies of dose ranges in more closed intervals of densities and mixture of sequences in the program. the movement of products through various stages: total external conveyor (transportation) system automation is not yet concluded. The information system of product(which is an own development) will have to continue its updating and evolution in order to include the technological changes implemented for the benefit of our QMS and the satisfaction of the requirements of the users. 15/04/2017 IAEA meeting, Warsaw
