4 Explanation of Renovation Changes 1. This new work is designed to accommodate teachers and students who will need access to bulletin board paper, die cutter letters, paper cutter etc.. 2. Converted the school main frame to a new media specialist office. I believe that the media specialist office should be located near the circulation desk for visibility and to also promptly assist students and staff. 3. The fiction collection was removed from the back of the library and placed on the main shelving where it is more visible. 4. Added new for s. Will need to add table and shelving. 5. Moved bulletin board paper rolls to the new teacher work in back. This will create one for teachers and even students to use in creating items for s, bulletin boards or other class projects. These materials were previously spread out throughout the library. 6. Moved all rectangular tables to the back creating an for instruction and quiet study. 7. Rearranged the circular tables for quiet study 8. New shelving installed. Previously the shelving was 6.5 feet and metal. The new shelving is 6ft (full size) and made of wood type material. The location remained around the wall of the left side of the media center. 9. Moved computers closer to center. This would cause for a central location for all computers. Some computer screens will be positioned to face the circulation desk for monitoring purposes. 10. This will be storage for audio visual equipment and back periodical issues. The media center will only store a selection of audiovisuals such as laptops, projectors, ect. Shelving will be added in this to accommodate both periodicals and equipment. 11. This houses the audiovisual collection such as DVDs, VHS, and CD-ROMs. The was renovated with clear glass surrounding all s for monitoring purposes.

5 12. New media staff work to process, magazines equipment and other library materials. Expanded the size of the. This is located next to the audio visual for monitoring purposes and visibility. 13. frame will be in the back of the media center and out of sight. 14. Window size expanded for better natural light. 15. Moved computers closer to center. This would cause for a central location for all computers. 16. Window size expanded for better natural light. 17. All reference shelving reduced in size to 3-4 ft. More shelving has been added. 18. Window size expanded for better natural light. 19. New computer lab installed to accommodate classes that will be in the library to conduct electronic research. This new computer lab will allow computers to be available to the whole classs and thus make available main library computers. The lab will also include LCD projector, promethean board and wall screen for instructional purposes. This was previously used to house an English class. 20. The reading was expanded. 2 small lounge chairs and a larger periodical were added. 21. New for large size atlas and dictionary. 22. Moved die cutter and other materials to new teacher work. 23. Although not shown in floor plan I would like to have the ceiling drop and light fixtures enhanced.
