When detected, the machine will beep and stop counting while displaying the DBL message. All bills must be removed from the stacker and placed back into the hopper.

5 2. OPERATION 2.1 Operation Modes COUNTERFEIT DETECTION MODE Press the Counterfeit Detection Indicator button until the desired detection mode is selected. 1. Counterfeit Detection by UV, MG 2. Counterfeit Detection by UV 3. Counterfeit Detection by MG The machine will start beeping and stop counting when a counterfeit bill is detected. The display will show a UU (for uv) or nng (for mg) error code and the counterfeit indicator will flash. Remove the suspect bill, which is the last one in the stacker, and press the START button to continue COUNTING MODE Counterfeit detection is off and the machine only counts the bills. Press the UV/MG button until UV and MG indicators are off. 3

6 2. OPERATION UM 2.1 Operation Modes 4 (ADD) ADD MODE To turn on ADD Mode, press ADD. ADD mode allows you to count multiple stacks of bills while maintaining a grand total amount. (BATCH) BATCH MODE 1) To turn on Batch Mode, press BATCH. Batch mode allows you to select how many bills will be counted. 2) After the BATCH button is pressed, press the 0-9 numeric keys to set the batch number ranging from 0 to ) Load the bills in the hopper and the machine will automatically start counting and will stop counting when the selected number is obtained. 4) Remove the bills from the stacker and the machine will automatically start counting again. (ADD + BATCH) ADD + BATCH MODE 1) To turn on ADD + BATCH Mode, press the ADD and BATCH buttons. This mode allows you to batch bills while keeping a running total. 2) Press the 0-9 numeric keys to set the batch number ranging from (VALUE COUNTING) VALUE COUNTING MODE This mode allows you to count the value of the bills. 1) Press the VALUE button. 2) Select the wanted denomination ($1, $2, $5, $10, $20, $50 and $100) by pressing and holding the VALUE button until the needed denomination is shown in the upper right corner of the display. 3) Load the same denomination of bills as selected into the hopper. 4) The display shows the total value and count of bills. Example $10 x 10 bills = 100.

OPERATION (VALUE + ADD) VALUE + ADD MODE This mode allows you to count different denominations of bills while adding a total value amount. 1) Press the VALUE and ADD buttons. 2) Using the 0-9 numeric keys, enter the desired denomination. 3) After counting the value, the denomination value can be changed by using the numeric keys. 4) Once the denomination is entered and the proper bills are put into the hopper, the machine will count and add to the past value. 2.2 The Right Way to Load Bills Please load the bills in the machine the same as the following steps. 5

TROUBLESHOOTING UM 3.1 Error-Message Display Codes ERROR CODE Messages Solutions Suspect bill detected by UV detection Remove the last bill from the stacker, press START to continue Suspect bill detected by MG detection Double note detected Half note bill detected Multiple bills passed through at the same time Problem with the right counting sensor Remove the bill from the stacker, press START to continue Remove all the bills from the stacker and place back in the hopper Remove all the bills from the stacker and place back in the hopper for recounting, press START to continue Remove all the bills from the stacker and place back in the hopper for recounting Clean the sensor Problem with the left counting sensor Clean the sensor Problem with the reset sensor Remove all the bills in the stacker; machine will automatically reset 6

9 4. SAFETY/WARNINGS 4. Safety/Warnings Avoid exposing the product to the sunlight. Please use the qualified cable. Turn off the product or pull out the power plug before moving it. Do not put tools, hands, hair or clothes close to the rotating parts of the machine. Do not press the keys with something sharp or pointed. Keep the machine dry. Do not repair the machine by yourself. Damp and badly stained notes should be avoided. Make sure paper clips, rubber bands and other miscellaneous things are removed from the bills prior to counting. 7

11 6. WARRANTY 6. Warranty STEELMASTER provides a limited, three-year replacement warranty for this unit ( UM). This warranty is limited and conditional as the following: Three-years from the date of original purchase. Applies only to the original purchaser. All warranty claims must be accompained by the proof of purchase. Warranty is limited to defects in workmanship or material. It does not apply to damages in handling the product, general misuse, poor maintenance or shipping. Warranty liability does not extend or cover any loss, harm or damages from miscounts or failures in currency counting or counterfeit detection. Warranty does not guarantee the absolute accuracy of the unit in all environments and conditions. The warranty allows for the replacement of this or similar unit within the warranty period only and STEELMASTER discretion. All warranty returns must be authorized in writing and proper approved forms included in the prepaid return package.
