3 First of all Chapter 1 Thank you decided to try Cargo Securing software product, which will facilitate the transport work in the field of security of cargo. Software product Cargo Securing is a tool for calculating the number of fastening means. The application allows the calculation according to VDI 2700 standards used (Germany), EN :2003 (previous European Standard) and EN :2010 (the current European standard). The application allows to calculate the frictional binding, direct and diagonal binding. For direct and diagonal binding also allows calculation in combination with an auxiliary frictional binding. According to the selected design vehicles (EN and EN L-XL), together with the type of body (eg convertible top, stanchions, the vehicle without sides) Select the required values for securing the load in the event of load resting on selected front / side / rear wall. According to the payload vehicle selects the maximum load lashing points and after entering the length of the loading area displays information about the minimum number of lashing points. Cargo Securing Application is created in multiple languages. After installation, you can simply select the menu select one of the following languages: Czech, German, French, English, Hungarian, Dutch, Polish and Romanian. Adding another language is relatively simple. Just add the text file with translations of sentences, and after running a the program application will find all available language versions. Cargo Securing Applications will gradually add more features. In the next version will calculate the tipping load, calculate the binding loop, and more. We believe that our product will be satisfied and comments to contribute to further improvements. Current product information can be obtained at 2

4 Product Installation The installation program Cargo Securing applications can be downloaded at where the current version and any language files for extension languages. The application is currently designed for Windows operating systems. Setup needs for proper setting administrative access. For custom application starts running simply ordinary user privileges. Cargo Securing application consists of the following files: - CargoSecuring.dll - press kit protocol on the control of the cargo loading - CargoSecuring.exe main application - CargoSecuring.ini a set of values with the stored settings (constants, user settings) - CargoSecuring.Language.xx language application files. The file extension corresponds to the international designation of the vehicle states. Contents of the file with language string is given separate instructions - Uninst000.exe application for uninstalling. When the installation process, select the language installation wizard and follow the wizard.. If you install an application on Windows Vista, Windows 7 or Windows 8, do not install to the Program Files folder, where it can cause problems when downloading updates. 3

5 Environment of application and its control The application is designed to control it was not intuitive and need more help to use. Chapter 2 The application can be controlled via the main menu or by using the icon in the control bar at the top of the main window. 6 Setting up the application environment The application allows many of user settings that are accessed by selecting the menu Application->Options. On the first tab, the user can choose the gravity value used in the calculation. The application allows you to calculate in kilograms or pounds. If the selected unit of weight pound, weight is converted to kilograms by the specified conversion rate. Bookmark to define / change the forces acting on the load in all directions. We recommend leaving the default values that conform to calculate. Changing values affect the calculation and the number of necessary fastening means! On the next tab you can change the power that is able to hold aluminum spacer plate on wooden or aluminum batten on loading area. The last tab allows you to change user interface (color scheme), and the possibility to use hotkeys Enter and Esc and select a color printout, if the selected printer supports color printing. To use the application at road side checks select the option Roadside checks for printing the protocol with data about check place, inspector name and registration number of the vehicle. Press Reset to default values for the new calculation. 6

8 Registration of the program Application Cargo Securing is a commercial application, you can try application without restrictions for a period of 45 days from installation. After the trial period you need to enter an activation key for an additional unlimited use of application, otherwise the application will not work. If you have an activation key, you can register the product prior to the expiration of the probationary period. Product activation make its selection in menu Help->Activation. Enter the activation key to activate the program button to activate the program. 7

9 Work with the program M o d e o f t r a n s p o r t Chapter 3 The application is designed to check the fixing costs on the road vehicles. Because road vehicle can complete part of their journey on a railway carriage or boat, select the type of transport. For the transport of goods by road only select road. For combined transport road-rail select railway. For combined transport road-sea select shipping. Individual area of seas are determined by the size of the wawes: Sea area A Baltic Sea 8

12 T y p e b i n d i n g o f c a r g o The application allows you to calculate the number of fastening means according to the selected type of binding: Friction (top) binding, consisting in pressing of cargo on the loading area. The formula for calculating the retention forces (EN :2010): Direct binding, consisting in direct fixing of cargo on the loading area. The formula to calculate the clamping force (EN :2010): Diagonal binding, consisting in direct fixing of cargo on the loading area, for reducing the number of fastening means into 4 pieces. 13 C o n s t r u c t i o n o f v e h i c l e s Selection of vehicle body affects the calculation of the number of fastening means; individual body can withstand a variety of large power, by which they can hold cargo on the loading area to prevent movement: Selection of vehicle body structure according to EN 12642, dividing the bodies and vehicle bodies to design L and XL. After entering the length of the loading area shows the minimum number of the lashing points on the loading area. Number of lashing points is listed in European Standard EN Information on the maximum load lashing points on the loading area with the size of payload. 13

15 W e i g h t a n d p o s i t i o n o f l o a d In the first part of the window you must specify the weight of cargo that needs to be secure against movement. According to the custom settings you need to enter the weight in kilograms or pounds. If the weight entered in pounds, before the calculation is automatically converted to kilograms. For the calculation is necessary specify the correct value of the coefficient of fiction, which can be selected from the list by clicking on the button. List of friction coefficients is available for the European standard EN version 2003 and version List of German standard VDI 2700 is not available in this version. Position of loads has an impact on number of required fastening means. On this tab, you need to indicate whether the load is leaning on the: - Front wall of the loading area - Real wall of the loading area - Both side walls (entire width of the loading area) 14

16 F a s t e n i n g m e a n s Depending on the selected type of binding can be used to specify fastening means: Friction (top) binding: When using top binding is necessary to enter a value, given on the label of fastening means, the number of used fastening means and binding angle. To calculate the binding angle can be used guide by pressing the button ; more explanations on page18. Cargo can be also blocked against movement using a flexible bindings, for example, help empty pallets or using spacer bars. When using a flexible binding select the type of block (with one or two fixings) or use spacer bar by clicking on the symbol. If using flexible binding, it is necessary to specify the value of LC and binding angle. Blocking can be entered against movement forwards and backwards. 15

17 Direct binding: When using direct binding is necessary to enter the LC value of fastening means on the label (help after dressing ), the number of the used means and lashing angle. To calculate the binding angle can be used guide by pressing the button ; more explanations on page18. With direct binding you can using frictional binding, see page 17. Diagonal binding: When using diagonal binding is necessary to enter the LC value of fastening means on the label (help after pressing ), binding angles α and β. To calculate the binding angle can be used guide by pressing the button ; more explanations on page18. With direct binding you can using frictional binding, see page

18 Direct/diagonal and friction (top) binding: For direct and diagonal binding can also be used friction (top) binding for greater security of cargo. By pressing button with the symbol frictional binding activates the tab to enter values frictional binding, as described on page 15. Determine the value of LC and S TF : When entering the data of fastening means can be used by pressing the Help button. Window appears with a picture of the label and the values of the strap, which is necessary to determine and enter the calculation. 17

19 Calculate the binding angle: To calculate the binding angle α must enter two selected values. After entering the selected value is displayed calculated lashing angle and after pressing button is the calculated value transferred to the input form. After calculating the binding angle β for diagonal binding is necessary to enter the desired value. The value of w is taken from the specified values to calculate the binding angle α. After finding slinging angle and pressing button the calculated value is transferred to the entry form. 18

20 P r i n t i n g o f p r o t o c o l After pressing the button is printed protocol about control of cargo fixing with the specified values and the calculated results. If set color printing and printer supports color printing, the printout will be in color, otherwise black and white. If in the application menu is selected Print preview, protocol will be displayed on the screen. 19

21 Other Chapter 4 N e w v e r s i o n o f a p p l i c a t i o n The program immediately after it is started see if you can download the new version. If a new version exists, you will be informed about the new version and asked to update to a new version. Ask a new version can be run from menu of application Help->New version.
