2 The company The Arcardini machines are produced in Italy, in a modern plant covering an area of over 5000 mq. They are designed and developed to machine mechanical parts in multiple industrial sectors: fittings and valves for domestic and industrial applications, small parts, components for oil hydraulic, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment, automotive industry, petrochemical industry, etc. Established in 1964 by Enrico Arcardini, the company underwent a recent renovation and today it is managed by his son Sandro, aided by a team of highly skilled designers and technicians, to create a prestigious range of machines, entirely produced by the company. Our principles Our main aim is the complete satisfaction of the requirements and expectations of our customers, which can be achieved exclusively by means of an accurate analysis of the most suitable technical and productive solution and then with a specific care for each stage of the production process. Our technology The production process has always been realized within the company: customer sample analysis, design by means of 3D modelling software, construction of mechanical components, electric design, realization of electric panels, mechanic assembly, electrical wiring, up to the development of the software which controls the entire machine. Being able to monitor each stage of the manufacturing cycle, we can constantly provide leading edge technical solutions, high quality both of commercial components and of mechanical parts manufactured in house, as well as a highly skilled and available post sale technical service. Our products The two main product lines are the Transfer machines, for production of big lots and the Master lines, work stations for small/medium lots, featuring high production flexibility. Depending on the different production requirements, we are able to provide dedicated solutions, multicenter, transfer from bar, or standard machines with different degrees of customization. We are as well specialized in the design and realization of robotized equipment for part loading/unloading, consequently we are able to provide complete production islands.

3 Transfer from 1964 to today Arcardini, leading manufacturer in the Transfer Machines industry for over 40 years, provides versatile, advanced, ergonomic machines to meet the requirements of modern production. The part transfer machines provide maximum productivity in the sliver removal sector, for the processing of formed, cast bodies or bar billets. The Transfer, thanks to its modular structure, is not standardized. In fact, it is recommended for machining in multiple sectors and its complexity depends on the parts which shall be manufactured. Generically, they can be divided into horizontal or vertical table axis types. Examples: Horizontal axis machine with fixed units for three way machining Vertical axis machine with automatic tool replacement from revolver on X-Y work centre and rotary vices for 4 o more way machining The selection of a solution, the number of stations and operating units, is carried out according to the production requirements of the customer. Each Transfer is manufactured with the customer, for the customer.

4 Machine bed Built in a single structure, in electrically welded, normalized steel, to avoid any residual stress, it is provided with several reinforcement ribs, suitably dimensioned to provide maximum stiffness to the whole structure. In case of double wall, all the spaces among the walls are in mineral conglomerate injected by means of high pressure, featuring high structural stiffness. Drilling/threading unit The Transfer C144 spindle unit (run 140 mm ISO 40) features an extremely stiff structure, thanks to the enhancement of the sleeve supports and their distance, and to a compact spindle supported by high precision bearings, enabling high rotation speed with high sliver removal. The NC controlled advancement by means of ball recycle screws and brushless motors provides high performance in terms both of advancement speed and of accelerations up to 2 g. The spindle motor, with maximum power of 22 kw, can be asynchronous, vectorial asynchronous, or brushless, to realize threading. It is possible to realize different applications: the unit can be fixed, with translation and rotation by servoactuator or installed on two axis (X,Y) module and automatic tool replacement.

5 Rotating table The table can be controlled by brushless servomotor with lock by triplet of high precision (3 of degree) front toothed crowns (type HIRTH), or by fluid cooled torque motor with controlled ramps, adjustable according to the variations of the transported masses. Part grip vices The self-centring vices are provided with two jaws with parallel closure from sloped planes, avoiding divergence effect during closure. All the parts are fully made in Uni18NiCrMo5 steel with cementation and hardening thermal treatments, rectified and assembled with very limited tolerances and clearances. Among the recent applications, the self-centring hydraulic rotary vices with part indexing with 8 divisions of 45 in continuous (without return), and the bidirectional stencil support rotating jaws indexed with 1 step, with position handling and control by servoactuator. Tightening with oil hydraulic actuators Video interface The machine interface enables both ISO programming and preset models programming, axis feed override and spindle override management, unit by unit, for an immediate adjustment of the work parameters and management of the current control during processing to monitor the cutting efforts of each tool by autotuning. Post sale service With Arcardini Macchine you don t simply choose a supplier, you choose a partner which accompanies you in each stage of the lifecycle of the machine. A team of programmers and electric and mechanic technicians assist you thanks to a 24x7 dedicated line. Highly reliable remote assistance line for remote monitoring/control by means of analogue modem. Planned maintenance contracts enable to minimize downtime, always ensuring high reliability.
