He was regularly consulted both by private clients and also by United Nations agencies and other international bodies in relation to industry-wide issues. He is the author of numerous articles on shipping law and is co author of the standard textbook Limitation of Liability for Maritime Claims published by Lloyds of London Press (4th edition 2005). He is now a consultant to Ince & Co and a visiting professor, teaching maritime law at Swansea University. Baris Soyer Professor Soyer is the Director of the Institute of International Shipping and Trade Law at Swansea University ( ac.uk/law/istl). He is a member of the British Maritime Law Association and British Insurance Law Association. He is the author of Warranties in Marine Insurance published by Cavendish Publishing (2001), Marine Insurance Fraud published by Informa Publishing and of an extensive list of journal articles published in elite journals such as Lloyd s Maritime and Commercial Law Quarterly, Journal of Business Law, Cambridge Law Journal, Law Quarterly Review, Torts Law Journal and Journal of Contract Law. He currently teaches Admiralty Law, Charterparties: Law and Practice and Marine Insurance on the LLM Programme, and is the Director of Shipping and Trade LLM programmes at Swansea. Peter Grube Peter Grube is Head of Training: Courses and joined BIMCO in His first position was in the Support & Advice team, where he assisted BIMCO members with a wide range of commercial issues. In 2000 he was appointed Marketing & Sales Director of BIMCO, responsible for promoting and driving forward BIMCO s global position as a leading maritime organisation. In 2005 he transferred to BIMCO Training, developing, coordinating and delivering BIMCO courses and seminars world-wide. Prior to joining BIMCO he worked in ship ownership in Copenhagen as well as sale & purchase in Greece. He is a graduate from the Danish School for International Marketing & Export and is a Chartered Shipbroker (FICS). He holds a Master s in Education and Learning from Roskilde University (RUC).

4 Venue Where will the course be held? The course venue will be confirmed approximately 8 weeks before the start of the course so we can find a suitable venue for the number of participants. Registration Fee: BIMCO members & supporting organisations: EUR 990 Non-members: EUR 1,390 Free of VAT: EU 6th VAT Directive, reverse charges apply. Private persons registering without the support of a VAT registered company, please contact bimcocourses@ics.dk. The fee includes coffee breaks, lunches and course materials but not accommodation; this should be arranged by the participant directly with the hotel. Early bird discount: A 10% discount is available if registration and payment is received by 17 February or Group discount: Signing up 3 or more participants from the same company entitles you to a 10% group discount. Please note that the early bird discount and group discount cannot be combined. How to register: Sign up online at: and click on Training. Registration will be handled on a strictly first come, first served basis. Once you have registered, a confirmation will be sent to you but you will only have a confirmed place on the course after your payment has been received. Cancellation: You can cancel up to two weeks before the course start date and receive a 50% refund of the course fee. You will not receive a refund after this date.
