1 C. FREIGHT FORWARDING / SHIPPING INFORMATION (revised as of 19/2/16) 1. INTRODUCTION The organizer will ONLY allow the official freight forwarder to work and provide all lifting/material handling equipment (such as pallet trucks, forklifts and cranes) and on-site service for the move in of exhibition goods into exhibitor s stand and/or vice versa. Please pass this Freight/Shipping Manual to your logistics manager, freight forwarder or suppliers who are in-charge of arranging your exhibition goods to this exhibition for their preparation for the correct and timely dispatch of your exhibits to this exhibition. 2. DEADLINES a. DOCUMENT DEADLINES: According to Ministry of Commerce (MOC), all exhibitors are required to submit their copy of Commercial Invoice & Packing List by: 11 th July 2016 for temporary import approval The following document must also reach us at least 14 days prior to the arrival of the vessel/aircraft at the Yangon Seaport or Yangon Airport: - copy of Surrender Bill of Lading/ Airway Bill, - 2 sets of original Commercial Invoice & packing list (with details of gross weight, net weight, brand, model number, serial number, unit value & Customs Harmonize code of individual item), - copy of brochure or catalogue of individual item, - 1 copy of Insurance Policy and 1 copy of invoice for the premium if insured - 1 set of original Health Certificate / Certificate of Free sale / Phytosanitary certificate (for food stuff / Beverage / Fruit) A pre-alert message via or fax, indicating consignment details such as the flight numbers, Airway Bill numbers, number of packages, weights and dimensions, is required to be provided to us upon uplift of the consignment. For commercial invoice & packing list which is sent to us after 11 th July 2016 will not be accepted by MOC and shipment will not be allowed to import under OGL license. b. CONSIGNMENT DEADLINES: - DIRECT SHIPMENT TO YANGON - Sea freight (arrival at Yangon port): 29 th July Air freight (arrival at Yangon airport): 5 th August EXPORT FROM APT S WAREHOUSE IN BANGKOK - Sea freight (arrival at APT s warehouse in Bangkok): 4 th July Air freight (arrival at APT s warehouse in Bangkok): 4 th August 2016 Consignment arrives after the above deadlines will be subjected to 30% Late arrival surcharges (based on the basic handling rate, minimum charges: USD per consignment) to cover our extraordinary efforts to speed up clearance of your consignment 16

2 before the show opens. But we will not guarantee delivery date for your late arrival consignment and the surcharge will be applied regardless of delivery date to the show site. 3. CONSIGNMENT INSTRUCTION All exhibition goods dispatched either by sea freight or air freight, shall be consigned "Freight Prepaid" as follows: Consignee: N.M.T. Shipment sent under Freight collect term may not be proceed until we receive confirmation for the payment. (A 5% outlay fee will be charged for shipment send under Freight Collect.) 4. CUSTOMS DECLARATION All declarations in your Commercial Invoice/ Packing List, must be in the English Language. A full description of the item must be given, and all items including giveaway items and brochures must be declared its value in US dollars. Do not indicate No commercial Value To assist the approval of importation by Myanmar Customs, please provide 2 (two) copies of descriptive/illustrative brochures together with your Commercial Invoice/ Packing List. 5. CASE MARKING/ STORAGE OF EMPTY & FUMIGATION All packages shall be marked as follows: Myanmar FoodBev & Myanmar Retail Expo 2016 C/O N.M.T. Ltd. (International Relocation and Logistics Services) Name of Exhibitor : Stand Numbers : Case Numbers : Gross Weight/Net Weight : Dimensions : We will store your empty cases within the exhibition site under shelter during the exhibition if space is available. For wooden cases returning to some European & Asian Countries, they will be required for fumigation before they can be exported as per import regulation of destination country. A fumigation fee will be charged to your account. (If require) 6. CUSTOMS REGULATIONS The Myanmar Authorities allow exhibits to be imported under Temporary Import basis but exhibits must be re-exported immediately after the show ends. We do not recommend exhibitor to ship foodstuff or beverages to the exhibition if you are not exhibiting those products and would suggest the exhibitor buy them locally. 17

3 If you are exhibiting foodstuff or beverages it can be imported under OGL license. And Health Certificate from your original country is required by Ministry of Commerce. Temporary importation of some special products such as communication equipment, medical equipment, cosmetics, chemical, pharmaceutical, medicine or plants is subject to special import license granted by relevant Ministries. 7. ATA CARNET The ATA Carnet is not acceptable document in Myanmar. 8. COURIER SHIPMENT We don t recommend you to send your exhibition materials via courier services (DHL, FEDEX, UPS, etc.) as we have no control on their import system. 9. BROCHURES AND GIVEAWAY ITEMS Brochures and giveaway items/souvenirs are taxable items. Such item import temporarily will need to be converted into permanent import after the show, including sold exhibits and consumed items. Conversion of Temporary Import to Permanent Import: USD /conversion 10. RETURN GOODS All exhibition goods need to be imported under Temporary importation for exhibition purpose and must be re-exported immediately after show ends. There is no extension permit granted by Customs. For export shipment after exhibition, return instruction should be given to us together with pre-alert of shipment to exhibition. Full payment of our inward/outward charges must be settled according to our term of payment. 11. SOLD GOODS If exhibitor would like to sell their exhibition goods, these must be approved by Ministry of Commerce, Myanmar. Without the permission, goods must be re-exported Exhibitor who would like to participate in the Trade Fair should clearly mention in their proposal that they would like to sell their goods during the Exhibition Days to get necessary permit from the related Ministry. All import duty/tax must be paid at the show site before goods can be released to buyer. 12. INSURANCE COVERAGE It is the responsibility of each exhibitor to arrange Marine (Transport) Insurance covering all transport you may have in Myanmar. Our liability will be limited as per our Standard Trading Conditions as our tariff is computed on the basis of volume or weight and has no correlation with the value of exhibits, it follows that the cost of insurance cover is not included in our charges. In the event that you want us to cover insurance on your consignment, a written instruction must be given to us. 13. 4 All payments must be made without any deduction or deferment on account of any claim or off-set.
