1 PAGE 1 Web: 02 February 2016 In this issue Generals Ocean Freight amendments Surcharge amendments Rules & Regulations North Europe - Windward Islands : Newind Service Improving We are pleased to announce that starting April 1st 2016, CMA CGM is improving its NEWIND service connecting North Europe to the Windward Islands. This service will allow CMA CGM to offer a wide panel of ports in North Europe, including Rotterdam, Tilbury, Zeebrugge and Le Havre, through its NEFGUI and NEFWI services (dedicated to French West Indies / French Guyana and operated by CMA CGM). Those strategic ports will allow connections to several other services of the group, extending coverage to most of the European and worldwide markets. At destination, connections will occur in Pointe à Pitre (Guadeloupe) or Philipsburg (Saint Martin), on the HISPANIOLA feeder. The significant product improvement of its new Euraf 5 deployed on the North Europe Portugal to West Africa is effective as from March 9th, Antwerp and Le Havre direct calls added in the port coverage, in addition to the present Lisbon call. Significant shortened transit time up to 10 days. Luanda is reached from Antwerp in 21 days, Le Havre 20 days, Lisbon in 16 days. To develop reefer cargo and commodities, a northbound Abidjan Export call will be offered offering Antwerp in 14 days. With this new call, EURAF services will offer bi-weekly sailing from Abidjan to North Europe and will have the best product of the market. 5 PAGE 5 Tariff & Surcharge Updates Ocean Freight amendments We would like to inform that, for the purpose of maintaining service quality, CMA CGM has decided to apply a general rate increase on the trade From N.Europe to the Far East In a continued effort to maintain its service quality and reliability, CMA CGM hereby informs of a Rate Restoration Program from North Europe to the Far East: Effective from March 15th, 2016 (onboard date): From North Europe (North Continent, Scandinavia, Baltic, United Kingdom) To the Far East (China, Japan, Korea, Southeast Asia and Bangladesh) All cargo USD 250 per 20' dry and tank containers USD 400 per 40' dry and high cube containers For any additional information you may contact : Veerle Verbrugge GRI - from N. 7 PAGE 7 From India - Parkistan - Sri Lanka to N.Europe & Med CMA CGM Group has decided to restore the freight rates for all cargo moving from India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka to North Europe, Scandinavia, Mediterranean Sea, Baltic, Black Sea, North Africa, Central America / Caribbean, and South America. 9 PAGE 9 Surcharge amendments Introduction of THC charge in Abidjan Due to significant increase of operational charges by Abidjan Terminal, CMA CGM Group wishes to inform its customers a Terminal Handling Charge (THC) will be introduced. As from 15th of March 2016, THC is applicable in addition to the ocean freight for cargo import and cargo export and payable at Abidjan as follows: IMPORT / EXPORT n compliance to the local regulations in Abidjan, VAT will be applicable.
