3 Page 3/27 PREAMBLE Assembling and dismantling operations for exhibitions at the Palais des Congrès de Paris are subject to Decree no of 20 February 1992 of the Labour Law. The user company is VIPARIS or the lessor. The external company is the lessee organizing the event. VIPARIS will ensure the overall coordination of safety measures for all events taking place in the Palais des Congrès. The external company, the lessee, is responsible for the application of safety measures required to protect the personnel operating under its jurisdiction. To this end, it can engage specialized personnel (safety officer, etc.). It undertakes to circulate this document to the sub-contracting companies for which it is responsible. The present document establishes the working conditions of personnel from the external company, in accordance with the Decree of 20 February 1992 and the minimum safety regulations required by VIPARIS. NOTES Please be reminded that : Le Palais des Congres de Paris is a non-smoking building. The consumption of alcohol is strictly forbidden, particularly during the set up and dismantling of events. If there are two or more events taking place on the same level, organizers must coordinate the various stages of the events, particularly with regard to access and traffic flow.

DUPONT 2.2 Services upkeep charges Washrooms/toilets situated within the exhibition area are at the disposal of staff but will be maintained by VIPARIS. Cloakrooms: changing rooms will not be provided. Canteen facilities will not be available. 2.3 Storage of dangerous products Storage of dangerous products is forbidden. Only the minimum amounts necessary for a day s work will be permitted on-site, and these must be removed from the premises at day s end. 2.4 Elimination and/or removal of waste VIPARIS will ensure the collection of waste. 2.5 Supply of utilities (water, compressed air, electricity) Water: Available only at certain points on level 1 in the Paris, Neuilly, and Ternes halls. Water supply : consisting of a 12/24 Ø reinforced rubber inlet pipe capable of withstanding a 10 bar load and a 15/21 Ø tap. Outflow is via a 30/38 Ø crystal waste pipe. Connection of appliances to the water supply is the exhibitor s responsibility. If you would prefer to have the Palais des Congrès connect your appliance(s), please contact us for a quote. The pressure and flow rates cannot be guaranteed. Compressed air: Available only at certain points on level 1 in the Paris, Neuilly, and Ternes halls. The compressed air supply consists of a 12/24 Ø rubber inlet pipe capable of withstanding a 10 bar load and a 15/21 Ø tap. Outflow is via a 50 Ø copper outlet pipe. Connecting appliances to the air supply is the exhibitor s responsibility. If you would prefer to have the Palais des Congrès connect your appliance(s), please contact us for a quote. Minimum pressure: 4 bars Maximum pressure: 5.5 bars

7 Page 7/27 Electricity: This covers the provision of an electrical supply to the stand. Electrical installations beyond the junction box are not carried out by the Palais des Congrès Paris and are the sole responsibility of the exhibitor, by way of the latter s chosen contractor or stand decorator. All connections must comply with current safety standards and must be installed by qualified technicians. The Palais des Congrès de Paris supplies electricity in the form of single-phase 220 V/50 Hz current up to 3 kw and three-phase 380 V/50 Hz current + neutral above 3 kw. Details of electrical supply: 1 to 9 kw : junction box fitted with 3 sockets 16 amps and one inter-general 30 ma. 10 to 20 kw : idem + one P17 tri + N + farth, 32A From 20 kw : junction box including terminal block with phases + neutral marked 30mA. For safety reasons, each junction box supplied by the Palais des Congrès de Paris can only supply one stand. We advise you to order a single power hook-up for your stand. The period of the power supply s availability will be fixed in accordance with the dates and times necessary, as defined by the organizer. The Palais des Congrès (VIPARIS) may not be held liable for the faulty supply of utilities by its approved suppliers (EDF, France Télécom, etc.) Equipment for individual protection The external company is required to ensure that its workers use the individual protection equipment required by their jobs. As a minimum requirement, workers must be equipped with safety boots and helmets. Other equipment will depend on the nature of the work to be carried out.

8 Page 8/ INSTALLATION and SECURITY Key points: Exhibition plans: Height of stands: The general plan of the exhibition must be submitted to the Security and Logistics Division two months before the event. Stand plans, along with reports on the fire resistance category of the materials and fittings to be used, must be submitted to the Exhibitors Department before the safety officer s visit. Your stand must not exceed 3 metres in height. Floor capacity: The floor capacity of the exhibition halls is as follows: Paris, Neuilly & Ternes Halls (level 1): 1 T/sq.m Grand Foyer, Passy Hall, levels 1 2-3: 0.5 T/sq.m For heavier loads, please contact the Security Division. Storage: Storage in front of emergency exits, in the main aisles and in front of amphitheatre and lecture hall doors is forbidden. The aisles must always be kept clear by at least 50% of their width while work is in progress. On level 2, the aisles leading from the amphitheatre doors to the emergency exits must be kept 100% clear every evening. On level 3, the aisles leading from the doors of the Bordeaux amphitheatre to the emergency exits must be cleared every evening. VIPARIS reserves the right to have any objects, equipment or materials obstructing passages removed at the lessee s expense. Deliveries: VIPARIS is not authorized to take delivery of or store parcels. It is essential that deliveries be arranged to coincide with the presence on site of the personnel authorized to receive them.

WORK ZONES Address: VIPARIS - Palais des Congrès de Paris - 2, Place de la Porte Maillot, Paris, France Exact location in the premises: Levels : 1 / 3 Halls : Paris / Neuilly / Ternes / Passy / Havane / Bordeaux Level : -2 (delivery area) This level is the general goods access for all floors of the Palais des Congrès. Please consult the plans (form A3).

10 Page 10/ Risks and precautions relating to the work zone 1 Flow of traffic Deliveries level -2 Nature of the risk Horizontal traffic flow: Heavy goods vehicles Light vehicles Precautions The entrance for level -2 is situated on Boulevard Gouvion St Cyr. The exit from level -2 leads to Boulevard Pershing. Traffic flow is one way. Inside the delivery zone, the flow of traffic and parking are strictly limited. Speed is restricted to 20 km/hr. Only vehicles authorized by VIPARIS will be permitted access to the Palais des Congrès. Pedestrian traffic flow Industrial hand or power trucks Pedestrians are requested to respect the highway code and keep to the walkways. Operators must hold the necessary licence (CACES) and must be approved by their employers. Inspections on all lifting vehicles must be up to date at all times. Vertical traffic flow/freight elevators Vertical traffic flow/freight elevators: please refer to Freight elevator services in the Appendix Vehicles must be equipped with revolving orange warning lights and a backing-up alarm. Vehicles must be driven at a reduced speed and transportation of high loads is strictly forbidden. Use of all freight elevators must respect the rules and regulations relating to their functioning, i.e. maximum weights must not be exceeded, etc.

11 Page 11/ Parking Reserved areas for -2 On level -2, parking is strictly forbidden in traffic flow areas. Parking is only permitted in designated areas, as specified by VIPARIS. 3 - Loading and unloading of vehicles The delivery area does not have an unloading platform. - Unloading areas - Worker safety - Lower back injuries - Falls Loads are to be moved manually by qualified personnel. Always drive carefully (lift trucks, pallet trucks). Always use the appropriate means of transport and lifting. Always keep unloading areas clean and tidy.

12 Page 12/ Risks and preventative measures related to the work zone - all floors, except level B Nature of the risk 1 - Access and delineation of the exhibition zones Precautions Do not exceed zone limits. The user company must ensure that work areas are closed off and separated from the Palais des Congrès pedestrian pathways. (Partition to the right of escalators, signs in front of lifts, control of access points.) 2 - Traffic flow on the ground floor Obstructions Collisions, bumps Falls Openings in the floor Wearing of safety boots. Zones to be kept clean and tidy at all times. Vehicles must be equipped with warning lights and a backing-up alarm. Always drive carefully. Always keep floors clean and wear the appropriate footwear. Rope off such areas and always replace manhole covers, etc. 3 - Traffic flow areas Stairs Ladders Storage forbidden on stairways. Do not obstruct or clutter. Do not run. Do not move about with arms overloaded. Ladders must be considered a temporary means of access only, and may be used only if they meet regulations and are in good operating condition. Block the ladder carefully (non-slip discs). Ensure that the ladder is one metre longer than the height of the point of access. Fix the ladder securely at the top. If this is not possible, a second person must be available to hold the ladder at ground level. Pathways

13 Page 13/27 Pathways must be kept clear to allow access: - to stands, - to emergency exits, - for regular cleaning at the user company s expense, - for tidying up at the external company s expense. 4 - Elevated work Scaffolding Regulation scaffolding only, constructed on a solid, stable floor, with an adjustable blocking system. 5 - Suspended signs If the exhibition regulations permit suspended signs, these may be installed only by the specialist team of the Palais des Congrès de Paris. Slings cannot be installed in certain areas. Ensure compliance with the regulations; installation of slings must be in accordance with the plan supplied by the exhibitor. Do not overload. Scaffold platform must have high, mid-height and lower crossbars. Under 3-m high: with stabilizers. Over 3-m high: anchors every 25 sq.m in all directions. Hardhats are mandatory for personnel using elevated platforms. For difficult access work outside the cradle or scaffold, the wearing of harnesses with a stop/fall system, hooked to an anchor point as defined by the employer, is mandatory. Each order for a sling must be accompanied by a scale drawing showing the anchor points. Important: describe the details of the signs to be suspended: weight, dimensions, height above the bare floor, and the number of slings.

14 Page 14/27 Objects falling on people within the work zone Falling persons Delineate the work zone and restrict access. Use automated elevated platforms for personnel (hardhats mandatory). Use regulation scaffolding only. For difficult access work outside the cradle or scaffold, the wearing of harnesses with a stop/fall system, hooked to an anchor point as defined by the employer, is mandatory.

15 Page 15/ Risks and precautions relating to install ations Nature of the risk Precautions 1 - Mechanized handling Freight elevator operation Freight elevators: definition and capacity (see the exhibition plans of levels 1 & 2 and level -2 in the Appendix) Freight elevator operators must respect all rules regarding loading and the maximum allowable weight for each individual elevator used. Delivery point industrial hand or power trucks Vehicles must be driven prudently at all times; inspections must be up to date on all lifting vehicles. Vehicles must be equipped with revolving orange warning lights and a backing-up alarm. Operators must hold the necessary licences (CACES) and all operators of elevated platforms for personnel must be certified competent by their employer. Forklifts Vehicles must be driven at a reduced speed and transportation of high loads is strictly forbidden. The work zone must be roped off. A competent foreman must be present. Hardhats are mandatory in the transport zone. Certificate of competence mandatory for all vehicle operators. Inspections must be kept up to date to all times. Necessary certificates must be at hand at all times.

16 Page 16/ Electrical installations Working close to electric cables Low voltage High voltage Working while connected Work on electrical installations may be carried out by qualified personnel only. Only qualified Palais des Congrès personnel are authorized to intervene regarding power cuts or switching-on of power. Each electrical hook-up supplies one stand only. Each exhibitor is responsible for its own electrical installations, with the work being performed by the company of its choice. Work must be carried out in accordance with articles T35 and T36, dated 18/11/87, standard C Risks and precautions relating to movable equipment Nature of the risk Electrical equipment Pneumatic equipment Other equipment Precautions Ensure that all tools, plugs, extension leads, and cables are kept in good working order. All tools, connections, and hoses are to be kept in good working order. Always take the appropriate measures necessary with respect to the tools in use. In all cases, workers must be in possession of all the necessary protective clothing related to the tools necessary for the job: hardhat, goggles, gloves, garments, filter masks, etc.

The use of liquid hydrocarbons is subject to rule T31, dated 18/11/1987, article GZ18, dated 25/6/1980. Strictly no containers empty or otherwise may be stored within the exhibition halls. In delivery zone, each container will have to be removed every evening before the driver s leaving and taked out of the building. Will the company use any dangerous products? Strictly no cylinders of gas or liquid petroleum, empty or otherwise, may be stored within the exhibition areas. Verify the good operating condition of tools and equipment. Surprise inspections are possible at any time. Any tools and equipment that do not conform to standards must be removed.

Ensure that piles are stable. Flying fragments/objects (weak structures, limited capacities, etc.) Delineate and protect storage areas. 24 Page 24/27 6. INSTRUCTIONS INSTRUCTIONS IN THE EVENT OF FIRE ACTION TO BE TAKEN IF A FIRE IS DISCOVERED 1. WARNING Alert the Safety Control Centre - Tel.: Give the fire type and location. Set off the fire alarm manually (break glass on red box). 2. ACTION Use the hose stations (fire hose), Use the fire extinguishers: Wet type for wood and cardboard box fires, Powder type for alcohol and petrol fires, CO2 snow type for electrical fires. 3. EVACUATION Evacuation as soon as the order is given by the Safety Control Centre. Evacuation when the two-tone fire siren has been sounding for at least 5 minutes. Do not use the goods lifts or passenger lifts. Use the emergency routes and fire exits. If the smoke has filled the emergency routes, walk bent over close to the ground with your (preferably wet) handkerchief over your nose and mouth.
