2 Company Introduction Established in 2007 part of Atomenergomash JSC, the mechanical engineering division of ROSATOM state corporation, AEMtechnology Joint-Stock Company is at present a leader in the field of power engineering. The company's structure comprises an engineering centre staffed with experienced design and manufacturing engineers as well as two production sites: Petrozavodskmash Branch of AEMtechnology JSC in Petrozavodsk and Atommash Branch of AEMtechnology JSC in Volgodonsk. Branches The Petrozavodskmash plant joined the mechanical engineering division of the ROSATOM State Corporation in A comprehensive improvement programme implemented at Petrozavodskmash and experience gained in the manufacturing of equipment for oil refineries, as well as spent nuclear fuel shipping and storage facilities, made it possible for the company to master the manufacture of long-cycle equipment for reactor facilities of nuclear power plants within a relatively short time period. The Atommash plant became a manufacturing subsidiary of AEMtechnology in The enterprise was designed and put into operation in 1976 as a leading mechanical engineering factory to produce a complete package of vessels and heat-exchange equipment for a nuclear power plant unit within the scope of a nuclear island. The AEM-technology subsidiary in Volgodonsk is presently specializing in manufacturing reactors with internals and upper units, readyfitted steam generators, transport and handling equipment for nuclear power plants, and pipeline valves. 2 equipment for nuclear power industry equipment for nuclear power industry 3

4 Manufacturing Capabilities The company's own engineering resources ensure a comprehensive approach to the development of optimal solutions for the entire production cycle. AEM-technology's engineering centre is staffed with highly qualified specialists who have the necessary experience and knowledge in designing and engineering a wide range of equipment for different types of reactor units, transport and handling equipment for nuclear power plants and dual-purpose casks for the shipment and storage of spent nuclear fuel. The company's own engineering capabilities ensures a comprehensive approach to the development of optimal solutions for the entire production cycle, from the receipt of a technical assignment to the carrying out of construction supervision activities. 5 Equipment for nuclear power plants AEM-technology produces: z reactor vessels fitted with internals and an upper unit; z ready-assembled steam generators; z main circulation pipelines and of main circulation pump casings; z hydraulic accumulators for the emergency core cooling system and passive core flooding system; z pressurizers; z molten core catchers; z transport and handling equipment (transport sluices and personnel escape locks); z wedge gate valves and swingcheck valves designed to be operated as part of devices and systems at nuclear power plants. AEM-technology is the only enterprise in Russia that is able to manufacture the complete set of equipment for the reactor room of a nuclear power plant, including reactor vessels with internals and ready-assembled steam generators. The high quality of the product is ensured through comprehensiveness of the delivery proccess and the carrying out of all types of in-process inspections at the different production stages. The company continues to expand its variety of equipment deliveries to nuclear power plants. The arrangement of a full-scale production of shut-off valves for NPP pipelines is entirely based on the engineering performed by the AEM-technology. AEM-technology offers safe, long-term, efficient solutions for the shipment and dry storage of spent nuclear fuel from nuclear reactors. 7 Atommash's manufacturing capabilities enable the production of up to four sets of package units for NPP's per year. Atommash Branch Atommash's welding facilities, comprising gantries, consoles, and manipulators, allow the performnce of automatic submerged arc welding of circumferential seams with preheating and weld overlay for cylindrical products of up to 6,500 mm in diameter, as well as the welding of longitudinal seams of up to 8,000 mm in length. The thickness of welded components is up to 400 mm. The widely employed electroslag facing under a flux layer allows the time required for carrying out of the facing to be reduced significantly. Electroslag welding machines perform welds of up to 10 m in length and up to 300 mm in thickness. A unique self-engineered electroslag welding machine makes it possible to weld heavy gauge spherical heads. A hot pressing bay that is part of the production facilities has been equipped with plate-straightening and plate-bending machines. A three-roll SCHIESS plate-bending machine with the top roll of 1800 mm in diameter enables the bending of plate stock that is up to 4500 mm wide and up to 350 mm in thickness. The only single hydraulic dualpurpose sheet-stamping press available in Russia, with a maximum single-acting force of up to tf, allows stamping of head that is up to 5000 mm in diameter and plates of up to 380 mm in thickness. Heat treatment facilities, ensuring the quenching and tempering of large parts, comprise batch-type gas furnaces, including shaft furnaces, and a hardening facility. 10 equipment for nuclear power industry equipment for nuclear power industry 11

8 Petrozavodskmash Branch A unique combination of foundry, machining, assembly, and welding shops within a single production site. The large-scale upgrade that took place in 2012 to 2014 allowed the factory to be retrofitted with upto-date, high-precision machining centres, automatic welding and weld overlay machines, blank production, sheet/plate bending and heat treatment facilities, as well as machines and benches for testing and quality control purposes. The design and dimensions of the shop aisles and metal-cutting machine fleet ensure the machining of box-shaped pieces of up to 6 m in height, up to 15 m in length, and up to 250 t in weight as well as the machining of bodies of rotation up to 10 m in diameter, up to 6 m in height, and up to 200 t in weight. The manufacturing facilities available in the fit-up and welding shops allow the manufacture of large metal structures, tanks and vessels of up to 100 m in length, up to 8 m in diameter, and up to 600 t in weight. The foundry is a leading supplier of large-size iron castings for the machine-building industry in Russia and Europe. In addition, sophisticated castings are manufactured with surfaces machined, such as gearbox casings for the mining machinery, rotary tables for machines, turbine components, and the like. The resulting workmanship of the castings has enabled the mastering of batch production of high-capacity cask bodies in ductile cast-iron for the storage of spent nuclear fuel from nuclear reactors. 12 equipment for nuclear power industry equipment for nuclear power industry 13

9 The experience gained by our employees and successful implementation of complex projects concerning the manufacturing of NPP machinery allow us to provide clients with products of perfect quality. Quality The AEM-technology's Quality Management System (QMS) has been certified by the Russian Register Certification Association to comply with ISO 9001:2008. The QMS compliance with international standards is also attested through certificates issued by IQNet, ASME, The National Board of Boiler & Pressure Vessel Inspectors, and the like. Any and all activities involved in the design, manufacture, testing, and quality control of the equipment produced is performed to demonstrate full conformity to codes and standards in force within the Russian Federation and contractual requirements. Both of the company's manufacturing subsidiaries have accredited testing laboratories furnished with all the equipment required to perform destructive and nondestructive testing and research. 10 Logistics Capabilities The well-developed transport infrastructure at the locations of the subsidiaries in Volgodonsk and Petrozavodsk is an important competitive advantage of AEMtechnology. Finished products can be shipped elsewhere by road, rail, or water-borne transport. The availability of their own mooring berths equipped with heavy-duty cranes makes it possible to effect deliveries of ready-assembled equipment, unique in terms of their size and weight, by water to anywhere in the world. The specialty mooring berth owned by the subsidiary in Volgodonsk is able to accommodate rivermarine vessels of up to 5000 t. The dock-type mooring berth that has a concrete vessel call chamber measuring 70 m in length and 18 m in width is equipped with two travelling bridge cranes of 1350 t total load capacity. The loading berth owned by the subsidiary in Petrozavodsk is located on the shore of Lake Onega. The mooring area is 126 m long and 18 m wide. The loading dock is furnished with two overhead travelling cranes of 320 t total load capacity. The products are shipped by river-marine vessels. 16 equipment for nuclear power industry
