3 MOBILE HOSPITALS The highly flexible and complex medical care systems are based on the modular ZEPPELIN-Shelter assemblies. Swiftly and safely deployable, wherever primary clinical care is needed. The capacity and medical equipment of the mobile hospitals is configured individually, depending on customer requirements and medicinal necessity based on the standard sizes for 40, 50, 100 and 200 patient beds. The basis of the hospitals is the 20 ZEPPELIN Master-Shelter, which is used as the medical treatment room. The Master-Shelter can be fitted with any type of medical equipment, as available in stationary hospitals or in specialist practices, e.g. General Medicine, Emergency Physicians, Operation Theatre, Intensive Care Unit, Radiology, Stroke Unit, Dentist, Ophthalmologist, Ear-Nose- Throat Doctor, Gynecologists, Pneumology, Orthopedics, Laboratory or Pharmacy. The extendable or non-extendable shelter offers the working environment of a stationary hospital. Dust- and water-proof construction of the shelter can help improve patient safety and infection control. The shelters can be complemented with tent systems designed for patient accommodation, triage or provisions, along with mobile infrastructure systems. The individual modules are connected by special corridors or connection shelters and thus linked to a hygienic, self-sufficient system. The equipment is specifically tailored to meet the high demands of modern medicine. The ZEPPELIN Master-Shelter all have the standard outer dimensions of a 20 ISO container. Two height dimensions are available, as specified by ISO Standard 1C and 1CC. For this reason, Master- Shelter can be safely transported with all conventional transport methods via land, water or air. 3

4 TENT HOSPITAL The ZEPPELIN Tent Hospital is a highly flexible and complex medical care system based on modular assemblies. Quick and safely deployable, wherever basic clinical care is not ensured, for example after natural disasters or other contingencies. The basic configuration with 40 patient beds can be modularly expanded to a capacity of 200 beds. TRAILER HOSPITAL The ZEPPELIN Trailer Hospital is a medical care system based on single-side or double-side extendable semitrailers. It is designed for completely independent use. Each semitrailer is air conditioned and equipped with its own power generator and water tanks. The semitrailers are connected to each other by means of passages and supplemented by tents for patient accommodation (20 beds). The medical equipment corresponds to the standard of a stationary hospital. 4

5 MOBILE EMERGENCY SYSTEMS The highly flexible and complex Emergency Systems based on the ZEPPELIN Compact-Shelter, which is used for the medical diagnosis and treatment areas. These extendable shelter provides an unprecedented safe and hygienic work environment for emergency medicine, as well as a high level of supply (e.g. for medical gases). The shelters are supplemented by tents depending on the configuration. The two basic configurations of the mobile medical diagnosis and treatment systems for the initial supply in the event of a catastrophe can be supplemented by additional shelters and tents. The closed and in service extendable ZEPPILIN Compact-Shelter offers the safe working environment in the field of operation. First Response Emergency Medical Station The station is equipped for medical emergencies and for the delivery of life-saving measures (damage control surgery), involving intensive care and treatment of fractures. Emergency Hospital This hospital, which is the extended version of the Emergency Medical Station, offers modular emergency surgical facilities, as well as additional diagnostic and treatment possibilities, e.g. Radiology, Laboratory or Pharmacy. The ZEPPELIN Compact-Shelter is specially adapted to the IATA Cargo Standards and Regulations DGR, ULDR, CSCRM-CSC and ICHM-IATA Cargo Handling Manual for the transport in worldwide operating civilian cargo aircrafts. This transportability given by sufficient available capacities in aviation services offers the opportunity to help as quickly as possible. 5

6 MOBILE RESCUE SYSTEMS The Mobile Rescue Systems are primarily operated on the vehicle; with the optionally available lifting supports, however, the shelter can be lowered to the ground without the requirement of additional equipment or means. ZEPPELIN Rescue Systems can be put into operation on all truck chassis with 20 container frame. Depending on the Rescue System, the individual shelters are connected to each other by means of special connecting shelters or corridors. Wherever immediate reaction to medical emergencies is required, the modular designed ZEPPELIN Rescue Systems ensure professional and safe medical care. Different medical configurations are realized depending on the required set-up. Life-sustaining measures are introduced in the Rescue Station usually one truck plus one tent. Primary emergency medical treatments include shock treatment, respiration and stopping bleeding. The Rescue Center is the extension stage of the Rescue Station and offers additional possibilities for diagnostics and emergency-surgical treatment. Depending on the configuration, the Rescue Center is equipped with Triage, X-ray, Operating Room and Intensive Care Station, so that patients can be sustainably stabilized for transport to further treatment after the emergency treatment. Two or three trucks with trailer form a fully functional operation unit. Within the ZEPPELIN Rescue Systems, the Rescue Clinic offers additional diagnostic areas as well as an emergency room. Operations that go beyond emergency interventions to sustain life are possible. Depending on the configuration, specialist routine examinations and treatments (such as for dental, ear/nose/throat, eyes, etc.) can be performed in the accompanying polyclinic area. With a total of eight truck-trailer combinations, the Rescue Clinic is a comprehensive care unit with maximum mobility. The medical capabilities of the system allow for short-term as well as long-term medical missions. The Rescue Clinic is designed to handle major catastrophes as well as medical shortages. 6
