8 PORT TALK What Is PortTalk? PortTalk helps us understand where ports biggest needs, concerns, opportunities and challenges exist and determine MARAD opportunities in creating solutions. PortTalk ensures that ports are considered in local, regional and statewide plans and planning efforts. PortTalk engages partners at the statewide, regional and, where necessary, federal levels. Who we will reach Public ports/authorities Departments of Transportation Federal partners MPOs, RPO, COG Service operators Other Interested stakeholders

MARAD knows current and future industry needs, concerns, and opportunities Ports and waterways are succeeding in getting $$s from each state and through each MPO where they reside Ports and waterways are getting landside problems fixed and are ready to support future logistics needs
