With machines ranging in size from 25 t to 1,000 t clamping force and injection weights from 1 g to 6.5 kg, it offers injection moulding of all thermoplastics. 10 3 4 Materials flow and materials diversity LKH has a modern, energy-efficient materials preparation centre which guarantees a continuous supply of materials via the high-tech vacuum plant. Fully automated supply of the correct materials to every machine is guaranteed at all times. The in-house transport system Emma likewise helps to ensure an uninterrupted flow of materials. The material diversity is enormous, thanks to: Component production LKH is committed to customer-specific part and component manufacturing with a state-of-the-art machine fleet of more than 50 injection moulding machines (all with linear handling or 5-axis robots) and 3 multi-component machines. 11 5 6 Processing and finishing As well as manufacturing, LKH also offers a range of finishing options for parts and components. Inline production extends through to assembly mounting on the machine. LKH finishing processes: Assembly and service LKH accommodates individual customer service requests. As well as precise manual assembly mounting, other examples include individual packaging and transport solutions that deliver components directly to the customer s machines for further processing. 12 7 8 Quality control Throughout all operational processes, LKH operates an exacting quality management system. Employees are continuously trained at the Loh Academy. LKH uses 3D measuring machines, camera-controlled manufacturing cells, measuring microscopes, residual moisture measurements, compression-tension testing and prototyping to VDA and PPAP. The company has recently invested in a brand new logistics centre to further optimise its logistics. 16 High-tech-capacity Complete power for customers LKH has an extensive machine fleet with more than 50 cutting-edge, powerful injection moulding machines. This enables it to offer fast, high-quality, exceptionally efficient production. LKH s state-of-the-art facilities enable perfect production of complex components and the use of innovative material combinations e.g. in the manufacturing of hybrid plastic and steel parts. All machines are interconnected via a central production control desk. The current production status and warehouse stock are available at any time from the operational data logging system, and terminals are also provided in the production hall. 18 Quality management Playing it safe LKH has established a high-end, certified quality management system that embraces the entire workflow. As soon as a customer enquiry is received, it is examined for manufacturability, and the results of this pre-analysis are fully documented. Possible failure scenarios are simulated via Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA). The LKH specialists use these analysis and test results to devise a superordinate inspection plan and develop additional component-specific test plans. Continuous in-line testing is documented via the CAQ system and retrievable at any time, thereby ensuring series-production quality. 19 Logistics Reliable, fast delivery LKH delivers the products and components it produces entirely according to the customer s individual requirements, be it warehouse requisitions, just-in-time or just-in-sequence. In order guarantee on-time delivery at all times, LKH uses a modern logistics centre with a warehousing space of 3,000 m² and 3,200 storage locations. All logistical processes are highly optimised and perfectly complemented by a long history of collaboration with professional, experienced logistical partners.
