2 Unpacking When unpacking, check to make sure that the item is intact and undamaged. If any parts are missing or broken, please call Harbor Freight Tools at the number shown on the cover of this document as soon as possible. Important SAFETY Information Assembly Precautions Assemble only according to these instructions. Improper assembly can create hazards. Set up only on flat, level surface able to support Arch and plants. Secure the arch using stakes in dirt or lawn or bolts on concrete to prevent toppling from wind. Stakes and bolts not included. Wear ANSI-approved safety goggles and heavy-duty work gloves during assembly. Keep assembly area clean and well lit. Keep bystanders out of the area during assembly. Do not assemble when tired or when under the influence of drugs or medication. If a ladder is used during assembly, be extremely careful as ladders can be dangerous. Use Precautions This product is not a toy. Do not allow children to play with or near this item. Do not climb on; use for intended purpose(s) only. Monitor vines and plant growth regularly to prevent fire hazard and property damage. Inspect periodically; repair if damaged or parts loose. Maintain product labels and nameplates. These carry important safety information. If unreadable or missing, contact Harbor Freight Tools for a replacement. Page 2

3 Assembly Instructions Read the entire Important Safety Information section at the beginning of this document including all text under subheadings therein before set up or use of this product. Figure 2 Figure 1 Front Back Base Strap (D) 3. Assemble in the same way, two lower Pillars (C) for the back of the Garden Arch. (See Figure 2.) F 1. Attach two bottom Pillars (,) to the Base Strap (D) (one Pillar to each end). See Top Down View for proper Pillar orientation. Top Down View Figure 3 Tabs Tabs on corner Pillars (per side), must point to the tabs on the other side pillar. Note: Diagonal corners are interchangeable with each other. The same holds true for the upper pillars, B1 & B2. Tabs 4. Bolt (E) Crosspiece to tabs of front and back subassembly Pillars (C) binding them together. (See Figure 3.) E 2. Top Down View shows how the Pillars must be installed in relation to each other in order for the tabs to be facing the correct way. Figure 4 5. Slide the bottoms of the four other Pillars (B1, B2) onto the bottom Pillars (, ). Bolt (F) the shared Crosspieces where the upper and lower Pillars join. (See Figure 4.) Page 3

4 E Figure 5 Figure 7 6. Attach two more Crosspieces (E) per side to their corresponding tabs. (See Figure 5.) Figure 6 8. The final step in the assembly process is to attach the two remaining Crosspieces (E) to the top of the arches. 7. Top Arches (A) are put on the same as the Upper Pillars (B1, B2). Attach to the Crosspieces (E) at the upper joint. Page 4
