2 How our system work The system measures the fill level in containers used for recycling waste. (plastic, cardboard, newspapers, metal lids/food tins, glass bottles/glass jars). (optional)

3 System 1, based on Stand alone tag Transponders communicate via GPRS to a server. The main advantage is that you can set up a location with few containers very quick. If you have several containers at one location then we recommend version 2. Both systems can be mixed within each other.

4 System 2, based on Combined tags Transponders communicate with a Master that collects tag data. The Master communicates via GPRS to a server. This is an advantage if there are 3 or more containers at one location as it will save money on the GPRS-communication. (optional)

7 Gaya, The Cloud Technical information The system keeps track of all masters and sensors. Through a web interface (responsive), it is possible to see all data and statistics presented from each recycling point or each container. Different kinds of administrative systems can be connected to the server. It can be integrated with almost every system by: web-services, xml, JSON etc. Information can be access by different users by creating separate logins.

8 Arctic region and Smart recycling Can you digitalize a container you can digitalize anything! Smart recycling is developed in the north part of Sweden (eg in Kiruna. Kalix and Luleå) Smart recycling is well suited for the arctic region with our regions long distances, tourism industry, summer house areas etc. Big savings for environment and money when you don t have to go by chance and empty containers Opens up for co-operation between countries Eg in the north part of Sweden and Finland with this system Finnish companies can empty containers in Sweden and vice versa!

10 Importante key features Real time status of the containers The system will report the current fill level at the recycling points. This gives you the opportunity to plan your collection rounds. All container levels are reported by GPRS to the cloud. A forecast of date of emptyiyng is made for each container You decide the frequency of readings of hours spent on tuning the system with: - Filters for different type of conatiners - Algoritms for different materials All in aim to have a world class accuracy in measurement of the level in the container!

11 Importante key features All data sent to Smart Recycling servers Easy access to current status on all recycling points through our web based system. The system will handle route optimization by Google maps (or your own system for route optimization if preferred). Analysis of data and statistics are presented in easy view diagrams.

12 Importante key features Environmental friendly Avoid unnecessary transports - that will lead to less carbon dioxide emission as well as less wear and tear of the roads. Perfect for both city areas (less traffic will be less traffic jams) and country side (unnecessary collection rounds can be avoided).

We are convinced that the cost of collection rounds can be reduced by 20-50%. Recycling points with seasonal variations such as skiing resorts, summer locations or harbours can be larger cost reductions on. Example: Cost of Emptying a bin: emptying's per month: 300 Saving: per month per bin!

14 Importante key features High service level to customers The citizens will enjoy a clean and tidy recycling station. No overflow or hygiene problems. It is also possible to let the community members view the status of the recycling points on your own web, a benefit that will be appreciated.

15 Importante key features Fast and easy installation Installation of the sensor takes less than five minutes, only one hole to drill. The sensors will fit all type of containers, metal or plastic.

16 Importante key features Options Camera option we can offer camera surveillance of the recycling station via our system. Both photos and media streaming. Fire detection this is of great advantage in city areas where the recycling stations are near buildings and/or population. Alarm via e- mail SMS, etc Movement detection send alarm if the system detects movement inside the container, eg children, animals etc. Safety first! Alarm via SMS, etc

20 Technical information Kale, The Sensor The sensor is an ultrasonic unit. The unit has a built in accelerometer to detect movement of the container. The sensor is battery powered with a lifetime Up to10 years. Software parameters can be downloaded over internet. The sensors are easy to install. One version has built in GPRS-modem

21 Technical information Ferusa, The Master The master can be placed on a light post nearby the recycling point. All data from the sensors are collected by the master and sent to the database by GPRS, this means that only one GPRS account is needed for each recycling area. The communication between our units are wireless, with a reading range up to 50m. The Master is battery powered with lifetime up to 10 years.

22 Technical information Nereid, Handheld unit Option - Handheld unit that can be used by lorry drivers for quality reasons.
