4 Karmsund Base and Facilities Due to continued growth of our Norwegian operations, ACE Winches has established additional facilities at Karmsund Service Base, Haugesund to service our existing and expanding customer base of marine contractors efficiently with immediate proximity to vessels, rigs and platforms. Located in the sheltered straits of Karmsundet, strategically positioned for vessels travelling between Bergen and Stavanger.

12 ACE Services ACE Services ACE Services offers a range of service contracts, upgrades and commissioning services for clients requiring the overhaul of existing winch packages whether originally supplied by ACE or any third party. ACE Services also incorporates a product sourcing facility to supply third party products including wire ropes, hydraulic and electric components, and spare parts. All equipment is subject to comprehensive testing prior to delivery. 13 ACE Winch Academy ACE Winch Academy The ACE Winch Academy aims to be the global leader in the provision of proficient, certificated training programmes, designed and developed to suit the needs of both client and industry. All of our training programmes can be tailored to meet the specific needs and requirements of our clients. Training can be delivered either at your specified location or at our dedicated ACE Winch Academy. Courses are structured at a number of levels, from winch operation to hydraulic component familiarisation. The ACE Winch Academy is accredited in the delivery and certification of its programmes by several internationally recognised training authorities. These include City and Guilds, the Lifting Equipment Engineers Association (LEEA) and the Institute of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE).

16 ACE Hire Equipment Case Study Heerema RDS Research and Development Project ACE Winches commissioned a 400te SWL Reel Drive System for Heerema Marine Contractors onboard the Thialf in Rotterdam for operations in Congo in October ACE RDS has been designed for use in controlled, high tension deployment and recovery applications of various reel spooled Subsea Umbilical, Riser and Flowline (SURF) products.
