10 Audit plan - 1 An audit plan is sometimes confused with the audit programme. Audit programme is the planning of audits for the three-year certification cycle

11 Audit plan - 2 An audit plan is sometimes also called an audit schedule. For this presentation we will use audit plan referring to both audit plan and audit schedule

13 Definition An audit plan is an action plan that documents the procedures an auditor will follow to assess and validate that an organization is in conformance with scheme requirements An audit plan is a detailed plan of: the auditing work to be performed the sites that are visited specifically the procedures to be assessed the persons to be interviewed the time within which the audit is to be accomplished

15 Responsibilities The CB shall provide the audit plan The audit plan shall be sent to the auditee before the audit to ensure availability of responsible persons at the day of the audit that the organization will be actually producing products at the day of the audit

23 Content of audit plan - Dates The audit plan shall be communicated and the dates of the audit shall be agreed upon - in advance with the organization The audit plan takes into account that the organization will be actually producing the products at the day of the audit

27 Content of audit plan detailed - 1 An audit plan is a detailed plan of: the auditing work to be performed specially the procedures to be assessed the persons to be interviewed the time within which the audit is to be accomplished Specifies the audit objective

28 Content of audit plan detailed - 2 A typical audit day shall be 8 hours (not including lunch breaks) and shall in any case not exceed 10 hours. Where the FSSC audit is undertaken with other audits, FSSC expects that the additional time is allocated over and above the minimum time for the FSSC audit.
