10 OUR STRENGTH CITY LOGISTICS Global population living in cities is increasing their demand for goods and services is also increasing. The problems of urban mobility: environmental impacts of freight transport / urban pollution (CO2, SO, NO, particulates, noise) congestion less safety for inhabitants parking difficulties City logistics can solve the problems in cities&towns by: consolidation of the goods optimalised distribution off the peak-hours using more eco-friendly vehicles (bicycles, CNG or electric cars) optimum urban planning City logistics improves the mobility in the city centre and increases safety.
