The high proportion of sleepers for special-turnouts requiring special fastening components means that new challenges arise in terms of planning, coordination and production on a daily basis. SPITZKE provides customers with the full range of prestressed concrete products directly on site. SPITZKE manufactures masts in any desired length up to 18 metres. Long transport routes are reduced and resources are used more efficiently as such, SPITZKE FAHRWEGSYSTEME is making a contribution to reducing the impact of production on the environment. SPITZKE s role in the recycling of disused sleepers also underlines this. In this capacity, SPITZKE offers the complete range of services for the supply and disposal of track components. Recycling processes are carried out in accordance with established and controlled directives. Environmentally friendly technologies are used in an efficient manner. By reducing so-called milk-runs, savings are realised in terms of time and costs. 22

26 SPITZKE New sleeper delivery Disused sleeper removal LOGISTICS Customer satisfaction is our utmost concern. SPITZKE FAHRWEGSYSTEME covers a significant proportion of the track material logistics needs on building sites. This encompasses the supply and delivery of sleepers, followed immediately by disused sleeper removal. Seven gantry cranes and the facility s rail system with a track length of over seven kilometres allow for up to eight block trains to be loaded per day. This capacity means that materials are always supplied to customers in good time, in particular when establishing large-scale construction sites. 26
