4 Performance critical component specialists Bromford Industries produce a wide range of components and assemblies for aero and marine gas turbines, aircraft landing gear, static gas generators, nuclear and specialist engineering applications. Gas turbines Products include critical performance components and assemblies found throughout modern commercial turbofan engines, in addition to military fixed and rotary wing gas turbines and marine derivatives. Power generation Products include combustion cans, transition pieces and seals, baffles, core plugs, air tubes, impingement plates and small pressed parts for original equipment or repair and overhaul. Landing gear Products include torque link assemblies, articulated links, twisted links, retraction links, lock links and critical pins for nose and main landing gear applications. Nuclear Products include machined and welded assemblies for nuclear marine applications. Existing knowledge and experience is transferred to civil nuclear opportunities. Development and re-engineering services Bromford Industries maintain a specialised engineering service for the supply of a wide range of complex aero gas turbine components in low volumes. 6 Combustion & fabrication assemblies for power generation applications As a leading industry sector supply source, Bromford Technologies produce a wide range of complex sheet metal components, fabrications and assemblies, manufactured in a range of super alloy materials for performance critical applications throughout aerospace and industrial gas turbines. We are equipped with extensive laser, EDM and wire erosion capabilities utilising the latest technology together with extensive engineering skills and experience. 8 Highly engineered solutions for civil & military aero engines Bromford Industries as a whole prides itself in offering engineering solutions in difficult to work, high value materials to demanding tolerances, delivered at pace and providing customers with a competitive edge. Our Birmingham site specialises in highly complex, medium to large prismatic and annular components for civil and military aero gas turbines. Utilising the latest CNC machine tools and technologies, together with extensive engineering capabilities, backed by strong process, project management and design for manufacture skills, we deliver a highly cost effective, start-tofinish capability. In contrast, our Leicester site specialises in highly complex small to medium prismatic and annular components and assemblies up to 350mm cube with manufacturing expertise extending across the full range of aerospace alloys. We are proud to be associated with the next generation of engines to power the single aisle market sector including the development and manufacture of safety critical rotating parts. 10 Linkages & assemblies for landing gear applications Specialising in the manufacture and assembly of performance critical landing gear components for use on civil and military applications, the company has the experience and the expertise to implement new product introductions in a timely manner, converting concept designs into working reality. Bromford Industries landing gear components are found on the latest aircraft applications, such as the A350 in addition to the established A320, A330 and A340 models. The company also provides landing gear components for defence applications such as the Eurofighter aircraft and has the capability to supply linkages for use in either main or nose landing gear assemblies. Manufactured utilising the latest technology, typical components include torque links, articulated links, retraction links and associated assemblies. In addition to linkages, Bromford Industries has the capability to manufacture and supply smaller machined components and assemblies, kitted to customer requirements. 12 Nuclear engineering solutions - offering extended capabilities & adding value for our customers Nuclear Engineering Bromford Industries has within the group of companies an expertise to manufacture machined components for use in nuclear marine applications. Nuclear components are manufactured and assembled in a dedicated cellular area in line with specific customer quality assurance requirements. The facility has adjacent class A and B nuclear clean room capabilities approved to the latest industry standards. Specialist Engineering Make-to-print, or collaborative design-for-manufacture, capabilities utilising CATIA v5 and SolidWorks CAD/CAM software Design-for-manufacturing facilities include an Advanced Projects facility, which scrutinises CAD models to create, prove-out and optimise schedules of operations to ensure best possible customer value. Should the best route require capital investment, this can be accommodated We machine, weld, test and NDT nuclear components for inclusion within extensive customer bill of materials. 14 Delivering vertically integrated manufacturing solutions Bromford Industries UK manufacturing facilities are vertically integrated from top to bottom - from customer enquiry, to development, to concurrent engineering, manufacturing, assembly, testing, finishing, certification and delivery. We make extensive use of integrated computer systems for all aspects of our business process, using UNITY ERP systems to ensure excellence in information technology, process control, reporting and documentation. Bromford Industries has high calibre engineering, commercial and technical support personnel who are customer focused, to ensure the delivery of Customer Service Excellence. We pursue a continuous improvement culture, maximising existing best practice, in parallel to a close working relationship with Advanced Manufacturing Research Centres (AMRCs), whilst developing Supply Chain 21 (SC 21) continuous improvement principles.
