2 Tradition, innovation and customer proximity our advantage lies in perfect interaction GERNEP tailor-made labelling machines for the beverage, food, pharmaceutical, chemical and cosmetic industries With more than 30 years of specialised experience in the development and construction of customised rotary labellers, the name GERNEP is synonymous with reliability, functionality and flexibility. The labelling diversity for all kinds of glass, plastic or metal containers and a wide variety of contour containers is very convincing in all areas. We offer tailored customer solutions Our labelling machinery conforms to the "Made in Germany" traditional engineering excellence. In our factory at Barbing in Bavaria, we develop and manufacture our machines for the global market. By virtue of our flexibly designed machines from the basic construction of our series of machines to the specialised drives and possibilities of using practically-oriented additional equipment on its own or in combination, GERNEP labelling machines are the flexible answer to the increasingly demanding forms of labelling and their efficient realisation in all performance classes. Our gluing systems Cold glue labelling For traditional cold glue labelling from the magazine, we employ our proven oil-bath-lubricated, high performance labelling aggregate with a stainless steel glue roller and rubberised, changeable glue pallets. An innovative pallet adjustment system ensures an optimal glue pattern. The glue-saving fine adjustment of the glue thickness ensures trouble-free continuous operation and perfect label positioning. GERNEP SK aggregate for self-adhesive labels from the roll 2 GERNEP Pre-Cut hot melt aggregate for wrap-around labelling with precut labels from the magazine GERNEP Cold gluing aggregate with high-end technology GERNEP Rollfed hot melt aggregate for labels from the roll Hot melt labelling from the magazine Glue is applied economically as spots by the GERNEP HotSpot nozzle system directly on the container that takes the label from the magazine. The end gluing takes place on the label. Different label heights are compensated for by activating and deactivating individual nozzles. Hot melt labelling from the roll The labels are cut from the roll on a vacuum cutting drum and passed to a vacuum transfer drum. Here the glue is applied economically as spots to the start of the label and the end gluing ledge by the GERNEP HotSpot nozzle system. Self-adhesive labelling The intelligent loop, guide and tension roller system ensures accurate tracking of the label carrier up until precise transfer to the container. Optional splicing units or non-stop label applicator arrangement provide uninterrupted continuous operation. 3

Additional equipment Because of our flexible machine system, additional equipment for special container orientation, additional labelling and label control can already be taken into consideration at the planning stage or retrofitted

7 Low glue consumption due to individual glue nozzle control The nozzles of the Gernep-HotSpot gluing system that are needed for gluing are activated or deactivated for different label heights. Equipment options Hot melt labelling from the magazine For wrap-around labelling with pre-cut labels. Start gluing is carried out in spots with low glue consumption and contact-free by means of the GERNEP-HotSpot nozzle system directly onto the container and end gluing is carried out by means of an end gluing ledge at the end of the label. ROLLINA-R: Option of combining with wet glue labelling and/or self-adhesive labelling. Exact wrap-around labelling The bottle plate rotation that is controlled via toothed belts rolls the label around the cylindrical container and glues it at the end. When contoured containers are being labelled, the belt drive is replaced by servo drive for specific rotation of the bottle plate. Gernep ROLLINA / ROLLINA-R Hot melt wrap-around labelling from the magazine ROLLINA: This fully automatic rotary labeller has been specially designed for economical wrap-around labelling of containers made from glass, plastic and metal. The hot melt labelling with pre-cut labels operates without complicated roller gluing. The hot melt is applied to the container economically in spots using the GERNEP-HotSpot nozzle system, and the label is taken directly from the magazine. The end gluing takes place via a continuous vertical end gluing ledge. With this rational and clean gluing technology you do not just save format parts, but reducing the amount of daily cleaning work to a minimum.
