1 Check-in Introduction The check-in conveyor is the interface between the passenger and the baggage handling system. It is designed to ensure easy loading capacity. It can be supplied as a one, two, three or four stage conveyor configuration. Function The check-in conveyor is designed to weigh baggage and dispatch it onto the collector conveyor without the need for manual lifting. Whilst there are standard configurations available, it is sufficiently flexible to accommodate variations in height,.

2 Daifuku ATec s range of weigh, label, tub load and dispatch conveyors can be configured into one, two, three or four stage check-in arrangements, i.e. One stage Two stage Three stage Four stage Bags are weighed, labelled and then dispatched onto the collector conveyor using a single weigh conveyor. The weighing and labelling operations are carried out on a single conveyor and bags are then dispatched via the induct conveyor onto the collector conveyor. Separate conveyors are used for weighing, labelling and then dispatch of the bags onto the collector conveyor. Separate conveyors used for weighing, labelling, tub loading and then dispatch of the bags onto the collector conveyor. Features Ergonomic design. The tub load feature is available in two, three and four stage design reducing the amount of lifting the check-in personnel have to perform. Lift off side panels allow for easy maintenance. Roll out system allows for easy access for cleaning hence reducing fire risk. High quality stainless steel finish. Designed to eliminate trap points for fingers, straps and labels. Technical Data The check-in conveyors are finished in high quality stainless steel. As a standard they are designed to eliminate trap points for passengers, operators, bag straps and labels. Safety gates may be fitted to the weigh conveyors as a security measure, preventing passengers from entering the check-in areas when the desks are closed.

The front panel can be unlatched enabling the conveyors to be rolled out for cleaning and maintenance. The conveyor chassis is a punched and pressed folded steel fabrication to which all trim and roller bracketry is mounted. The floor plinth is a heavy duty mild steel fabrication, which supports, aligns and locks the weigh, label and dispatch conveyors. It also houses the motor control panels in most cases. The plinth is bolted securely to the floor using masonry anchors. (5 mm rails and 5 mm cross bracing).
