1 Bend conveyor belts General information Thanks to the experience gained over the years, OMT Biella Srl offers a range of bend conveyors capable of satisfying the different transport requirements. Though the three types of bend conveyors proposed in our production range have many aspects in common (TCN.RU.CO. TCN.RU.CI and TCN.MO.CE.), certain features that characterise them render each of them more suitable to a specific transport rather than to another. In fact, the conveyor to propose to our customers is selected on the base of package and material load to handle. TCN.MO.CE. bend conveyor belt Undoubtedly, the bend conveyor belts designed by OMT Biella, and in general all our products, have as common denominator: versatility. Versatility due to the dimensions and bending radius of the conveyors, which can fit any space needs. Though the standard angle is 90 or 180, we can supply conveyors having different angles. Versatility in terms of motor positioning onto the belt; in fact, the original position can be changed in a second time. 2 Versatility, obtained thanks to the material used to construct the conveyor. For special processes (for example for applications in the food industry) stainless steel carpentry and a belt suitable to come into contact with food shall be used. Each conveyor can be fit or not with legs and side containment guides. TCN.MO.CE. with guards During designing, special attention is paid not only to technical details but also to all the aspects that regard the security and maintenance of our products. Each of all conveyor belts is fitted with guards that prevent the mechanical parts from coming into contact with the operators that will use our machinery. Thanks to this device, any other precautionary measures are unnecessary, except those that are expressly required for the processing involved. The perfect apron positioning onto the belt is ensured by Detail of the side windows used to check the conveyor for wear external bearings; however, in line with our fair policy applied when proving the high quality of our products, the end user itself will have the possibility to check the wear condition of bearings or chain by means of the suitable side openings. 3 TCN.RU.CO. Conveyor belt TCN.RU.CO. conveyor belt is a bend conveyor with tapered rolls. It is renowned to be the most cost-effective conveyor of OMT Biella Srl production; it is suitable to handle big packages and heavy loads (up to 150kg). The apron is tensioned on the Detail of the conical roller head of TCN.RU.CO. head, therefore upon installing the conveyor inside the handling system the space necessary for this operation shall be considered. Sometimes this need may involve problems to the package transport at the exit and entrance of the bend belt. In order to avoid such problem, an idle roller is inserted at both ends of the bend, whose function is to render the package transport easier. Detail of the idle roller at the ends of the bend TCN.RU.CO. belt bend can be powered either on the axis with reduction gear directly connected to the head, or through a driving gear with reduction gear positioned in the lower part of the conveyor (when a limited space is available). 4 TCN.RU.CI. Conveyor belt TCN.RU.CI. bend belt is a conveyor with tapered rollers; therefore, it has a constant head diameter and reduced sizes. TCN.RU.CI. represents the ideal solution to handle packages of small sizes (for example biscuits). The main feature of TCN.RU.CI. is to be found in the drive by means of external rings, which are on their turn driven by a chain. This special feature allows positioning the bend belt inside the transporting line without having to arrange room for apron tensioning. It is also possible to replace the standard roller located at the head (with 70 mm diameter) with a peen Detail of TCN.RU.CI positioning inside a handling line having a decidedly lower diameter (up to 16 mm). This is made of bearings that, besides the reduced diameter, ensure high rotation speed, low wear and therefore minimum maintenance. Descriptive sheet02 page 4/5

5 TCN.MO.CE. Conveyor belt TCN.MO.CE. is a bend conveyor belt with tapered rolls and a constant and reduced head diameter. Born as a development of TCN.RU.CO., this bend belt is suitable for handling very big packages as well as extremely small packages. The main innovation of this conveyor is represented by the powered lower part of the bend combined with a special tensioning system. TCN.MO.CE. conveyor is the ideal solution when the end user needs a precise angle to be maintained in the time. TCN.MO.CE. apron is tensioned by means of tapered rolls located in the lower part of the conveyor; this is useful in case of reduced space or when handling small loose items.
