Ltd., Gurgaon 44/2016- Two s: (i) Import of 296 nos. of used electrical & electronics assemblies(eeas) from Israel for testing, analysis and validation Purpose & (ii) 1 no. of used laptop(mac Book Pro from USA The matter was discussed in the 67 th meeting of Expert Committee held during 29 th and 30 th March, The Committee noted that the list of items proposed to be imported is signed by a Chartered Engineer from India without any comments on functionality etc. The Committee therefore suggested that the applicant should obtain certification from a CE in the exporting country before the case is considered for import. Now the applicant has submitted the above mentioned documents M/s Korde Chemicals Pvt. Ltd., Navi Mumbai 7/2016- Import of 200 MT of used switches and other IT equipments from USA for dismantling and then re-export Justification for import Undertaking for re-export Certificate from exporting company for accepting the after their use or once such items achieve end of life 21/03/2016

Ltd., 116/2014- Import of 810 nos. of parts of Wafer Manufacturing Equipment from USA for R& D purpose The Ministry had already issued permission for import of 810 nos. of parts of Wafer Manufacturing Equipment from USA for research and development purpose vide letter dated 19/09/2014. Now the applicant has submitted justification and requested for extension of the time of their existing permission letter M/s Alcatel- Lucent India Ltd., 68/2011- Two s : (i) Import of 6 nos. of telecom equipments and & (ii) 22 nos. and 1703 nos. of telecommunication/sw itches/networking equipments and accessories (i) Extension of period of previous permission letter issued by this Ministry vide O.M. dated 04/03/2013for import of 6 nos. of Telecom Equipment Brick 1200 HS & Computer Peripherals Dell-Poweredge Servers Netra Servers for software development and software testing purpose which has expired on 04/03/2016. The applicant has informed that more than 150 customers across the world where their products are deployed and these servers are very much essential to deliver the commitment to their customers with regards to software development and software testing activities and requested for extension of period of previous permission letter for another 24 months. (ii) The matter was discussed in the 60 th meeting of

7 Item Documents enclosed with the Date of expert Committee held on 22 nd July, The Committee examined the case and observed that all of the items proposed to be imported are computers, servers and mobile phones and will be re-exported within three years which is too long period for monitoring purpose. The Committee therefore did not recommend the import of 22 nos. of telecommunication/switches/networking equipment & 1703 nos. of telecommunications/switches/networking equipments & accessories. Now the applicant informed that the mobile phones & data cards are 1700/1900 United States Frequency Bands and 1800/2600 Europe Frequency Bands which are not available as commercial mobiles available in India hence the applicant need to import specific device for their ongoing R&D Projects(enclosed technical specification) and requested for issuing of permission in this matter.

Ltd., Gurgaon Import of 8360 and 2726 nos. of refurbished telecom spares from Netherlands for repair purpose. Now the applicant has submitted the above mentioned documents. The matters was discussed in the 66 th meeting of Expert Committee held on 25 th and 26 th February, 2016 and recommended for import. Now the applicant informed that the import of refurbished telecom spare to meet the turnaround time as per their Annual Maintenance contract of Customer s networks and not for repair and requested this Ministry for amendment in the NOCs accordingly. The matter was considered in the 67 th meeting of Expert Committee held during 29 th and 30 th March, It was noted that the unit has been inspected by CPCB which has suggested some improvements. The Committee therefore recommended to forward the suggestions as recommended by CPCB to the applicant and to obtain confirmation of incorporating the improvements in the form of photographs. Now the applicant has submitted the photograph of improvements and requested this Ministry for considering their case M/s Shree Ganesh Rubber Products, Navi Mumbai 230/2014- Import of used rubber tyres scrap. The matter was re-considered in the 66 th meeting of Expert Committee held during 25 th and 26 th February, 2016 subsequent to the submission of the site visit report. The site visit report of CPCB suggested certain improvements. The case would be considered subsequent to the submission of the evidence of having implemented the suggested improvements both to CPCB and MoEF&CC. Now the applicant has submitted the photograph of improvements and requested this Ministry for considering their case M/s Sunflex Recycling Pvt. 15 3.1.4 M/s Adarsh Kanch Udyog(P) Ltd., Firozabad, U.P. 85/2009- Import of Glass Cullet The applicant informed that they have imported MT of Glass Cullet from ICD, Moradabad (copies of bill of entry have been enclosed) but they are facing problem in clearance from Customs and transportation from Moradabad from Firozabad, as Moradabad is about 275 KM from Firozabad. Now the applicant has decided to import from ICD Agra, which is only 40 KM from Firozabad and much convenient for them to clear the consignment and transport the materials from Agra to Firozabad. Therefore, has requested the Ministry to include Agra as ICD in the existing permission letter.
