10 Purchasing of Goods and Services PRINCIPLES Nexans is committed to build a firm business relationship with its selected suppliers, based on honesty, trust and mutual interest. Nexans selects suppliers through open and competitive invitations to quote (e.g. requests for quotations or bidding processes) and strives to ensure that all received proposals are given equal consideration. Nexans selects and follows the suppliers through a defined purchasing process, including a formal qualification of each supplier.

11 How to qualify? HOW TO BE QUALIFIED AS AN APPROVED SUPPLIER TO NEXANS Evaluation of your Company Nexans suppliers is requested to make available through a standard suppliers qualification questionaire, detailed information regarding: Supplier entity products and services Formal financial status Quality systems and performance Health & Safety systems and performance Environment management systems and performance Evaluation will be done based on submitted information, supported by audits as required, prior to acknowledging the supplier as qualified. Your acceptance of Nexans basic requirements Suppliers Corporate Social Responsibility charter Non Disclosure Agreement

12 NEXANS CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY (CSR) AND OUR SUPPLIERS Nexans invite suppliers to take part in its CSR approach by committing themselves in a continues improvement approach towards the principles listed in a CSR charter integrated in the commercial relationship between Nexans and the supplier. The CSR charter describes the expectations within the following main areas: Ethics and Business Conduct Environment and Product Human Rights & Labour Standards Sourcing

13 SUPPLIERS CSR CHARTER - HIGHLIGHTS Health & safety Nexans suppliers deploy necessary resources to ensure the health and safety of their employees in their workplace, through continuous improvement, according to applicable legislation and health and safety management system. Environment Nexans suppliers are committed to minimize impact on the environment of their activities and their products, and develop solutions that contribute preserving it and saving energy. Anti-Corruption Corruption is incompatible with the ethics of Nexans and its support to UN Global Compact. Nexans suppliers shall conduct their business according to the principles of honesty, equity and in compliance with rules and regulations prohibiting corruption in commercial transactions. Diversity & fairness Nexans suppliers respect equal opportunities rights and seek to provide their employees with a work environment free of discrimination or harassment of any kind whatsoever. Nexans suppliers employees are treated with fairness and dignity. Anti-Competition Nexans suppliers act in accordance with the principles of fair competition and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Labour relations Nexans suppliers respect the right of associations. Suppliers respect the right of employees to form or join the unions and workers organizations of their choice and to participate in collective negotiations.
