Contents Webinar 1. Introduction to InterCor (Peter Schmitting) 2. TESTFEST Security/PKI objectives (Mounira Msahli) 3. Services to be tested (Hacène Fouchal) 4. Test centre and track (Hacène Fouchal/Guy Fremont) 5. Programme and schedule (Hacène Fouchal) 6. Preconditions for participation (Peter Schmitting/Hacène Fouchal) 7. 5 (1) InterCor introduction (i) InterCor is a study of 1530 km of four member states under the TEN-T Core road network connecting from the North Sea Mediterranean to the Arc Atlantique Corridor. 4

(1) InterCor introduction (ii) InterCor is a CEF (Connecting Europe Facility) project Started September 2016 ends August 2019 Budget: % funding 16 partners from four EU member states Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure and the Environment (Coordinator) French Ministry for E cology, Sustainable Development, Energy Flemish Department of Mobility and Public Works UK Department of Transport 4 pilot sites 5

(1) InterCor introduction (iii) Streamline and pilot selected Day 1 services in four member states and facilitate a first assessment of C-ITS services on freight and logistics by building on a common hybrid communication architecture Traffic management In Vehicle Signage Probe Data Road Work Warning GLOSA Freight and Logistics Truck parking Multi-modal cargo Tunnel logistics 6

(1) InterCor schedule (iv) TESTFEST International interoperability events 4 TESTFEST events planned before/after the start of Pilot Operations ITS-G5 Services RWW, IVS, PVD July 3 6, 2017, The Netherlands PKI: Services RWW OHLN PVD April 23 26, 2018, France Hybrid communications (ITS-G5 + Cellular): Services RWW, IVS, PVD, GLOSA October 2018, UK Logistics services: Final TESTFEST Exact services under test to be defined Q1/2019, Belgium 7

(2) TESTFEST general objectives (i) Demonstrate large-scale interoperable deployment of C-ITS through the Netherlands, Belgium / Flanders, UK and France Foster cross border interoperability by ensuring interoperability testing, security and certification, seamless continuity of service, operation and maintenance. Provide C-ITS services on a broader scale by specifying, using and fostering an hybrid communication approach to utilise a combination of cellular and ITS-G5 communication. Evaluate through a common evaluation framework the cumulative, real-life benefits of C-ITS 8

(2) PKI TESTFEST objectives (ii) The objective of the second InterCor TESTFEST is to validate the use of different Public Key Infrastructures (PKIs) and the authentication of messages sent from different ITS stations. Main goal: Ensure roll out of interoperable PKI services, verify messages authentication and validate the trust chain Focus on service interoperability, not product interoperability Achieved by by testing on board user devices from different vendors/countries against installed Road Side Units in a given set of test scenarios 9

(3) Services to be tested (i) Service Message format Comments Road Works Warning (RWW) Probe Vehicle Data (PVD) DENM CAM, DENM Will be tested during live road works and also continuously available as Virtual RWW Probe data based on CAM aggregation and DENM Other Hazardous Location Notification (OHLN) DENM Notify other events either using I2V or V2V Collision Risk Warning (CRW) DENM Additional C-ITS Corridor scope, not an InterCor service! Table: available services at the test site, InterCor services highlighted 10

(3) Services to be tested (ii) Road Works Warning (RWW). Providing DENM messages from Roadside Units (RSU(s)) upstream from the event. Events may be actually happening or they may be 'virtual'. Probe Vehicle Data (PVD). All RSUs will collect all CAM messages sent from all passing vehicles (e.g. not only the basis PVD subset but all CAMs). The CAM messages will not be interpreted or condensed but will be stored as raw data on the RSUs and will be uploaded to the Central Unit on a daily basis. DENM are also collected and are sent to central C-ITS. Other Hazardous Location Notification (OHLN). OHLN provides I2V and V2V communications warning for particular events (extreme weather conditions, Human presence on the road). V2V is not an InterCor service and will be evaluated by SCOOP partners. 11

(3) Services to be tested (iii) 5 security scenarios to be tested: 12

(6) Preconditions - FAQ - (i) The needed certificates (ATs) as well as the InterCor_CRL and the InterCor_CTL are preloaded in each ITS station and are ready to be used. Initial registration of ITS stations (vehicles) and ITS stations (RSU) are also done. Upload of the InterCor_CTL and InterCor_CRL into the ITS station will be done manually. Upload of the InterCor_CTL and InterCor_CRL into the ITS station will be done manually Security header and Certificate formats version of ETSI TS CRL and CTL formats compatible with SCOOP format (see SCOOP_2446 deliverable) 25

(6) Preconditions - FAQ - (ii) Q/A Q Do we have to be present Monday till Thursday? A Q A Q No. The safety instruction on Monday, April 23 however is mandatory. Plus we strongly advise to take part in the desk and lab-testing on Monday before entering open road testing (Tuesday - Thursday). We want to participate in the TESTFEST to test with our V-ITS-S (On Board Unit). Is it mandatory to bring our own test vehicle as well? We cannot provide test vehicles for participants. Participants can rent vehicles at local rental companies. However, if you come with an On Board Unit only, you have to bring along all the needed equipment such as antenna, cables, adaptors, power supply, etc. Is it mandatory to share out test data (like log files)? A No. InterCor partners will however share their data. Any data from other participants will be very much appreciated. Logging specifications will be provided. 26

(7) Expected outcome (i) For the participants Proof of the service interoperability of their OBU equipment Evaluation of the log files, if provided In General Proof that the services under test are internationally interoperable TESTFEST Report Describing the test site and test scenarios Summarizing the test results and the lessons learned Available through the InterCor website 27
