12 Steps To Be Taken (Locally and Internationally ): Conducting awareness programs regarding the APTA Agreement, its rules of operation, rules of origin amongst exporters, freight forwarders, shipping agents etc. Continued exchange of information between government authorities and private sector on the Agreement Diversifying export sectors, towards value-added products, which are in line with the market opportunities available in the target market, and which are eligible for preferential market access To establish an apex body consists of federations ( APTA_CCI) from each member country to get the private sector on board ( e g SAARC CCI) That would help Promote and develop the spirit of APTA - e g drive for new membership,lobbying for flexibility and speedy implementation of the decisions taken by the APTA secretariat.
