2 Introduction FACTS continues the tradition of providing valuable enhancements to our Enterprise Software application. In this release, all enhancements have been added to the graphical (GUI) application only as Carrier Logistics no longer supports the character-based version. With the newest release, FACTS now has the most commonly used reports enabled for download to Excel making the reporting process easier and more user specific. FACTS supports Windows 10,8,7 and Red Hat LINUX version 5,6 (FACTS Database Server or Application Server). Work is underway now to certify FACTS under Red Hat LINUX version 7. The minimum Windows Desktop resolution supported in FACTS is 1280 by 768. Larger Desktop resolutions are recommended. Once you have identified areas of particular interest, please contact us to set up an online training session to review the specifics. If you have any questions regarding any of the features listed in this document, please contact our helpdesk at Please note that while all of the enhancements listed here are generic, some may not be compatible with your existing FACTS implementation and could require additional work to have them function as designed. We hope you find these enhancements of value. Accounts Payable Enhanced Vendor search in Payable Entry [payable.entry] to include the Vendor's physical address in the results. Accounts Receivable A new Invoice/Statement tab in the Customer A/R Inquiry [customer.inq] allows the user to view transactions at both the statement and pro number level. An option has been added to the new Invoice/Statement tab in the Customer A/R Inquiry [customer.inq], giving users the option to search or select a single pro, multiple pros and/or summary statement, and then the invoices and statements directly to the customer. Enhanced Customer Payments Entry [payments.entry] allows multiple modes of operation to be used on one check. By adding a new selection field with a drop-down containing various Reference Types, users may also enter multiple types of reference numbers, and FACTS will attempt to retrieve the associated shipment for payment. Payments can also be applied to a quote number when a shipment does not exist yet. An A/R Item will be created with the quote number and, once the pro is invoiced with the quote number, FACTS will transfer the A/R item to the invoice. 2

3 A new alert has been added to Customer Payments Entry [payments.entry]. When the payment amount does not equal the balance outstanding for a summary statement, the alert gives the user the option to continue or cancel. Validation logic has been added to Customer Payments Entry [payments.entry]. If a user s login date is greater than 10 days in the past or any future date, the user will not be allowed to proceed. Added the ability to create standard auto write-offs by company and by customer by company. The customer by company overrides the auto write-off by company. These new auto write-offs are set and maintained in the Company File [co-mnt] and Billing (A/R) Customer File [cst.maint]. Customer Payments Entry [payments.entry] now has the ability to pay a statement with a zero balance. Customer Payments Entry [payments.entry] now also has the ability to apply payment to an unposted pro. FACTS now has an option to assign a suspense pro number from a preassigned group of values to unassigned cash applied at the pro level (eliminating the? ). If for some reason there is a receivable with the same next preassigned suspense pro number,? will be applied. The Unapplied Cash Listing Report has an additional column displaying the suspense pro number. The user is still required to investigate a resolution and manually transfer the amount to the proper balance due to ensure the open item has a balance of zero. In Customer Payments Entry [payments.entry], users now have the ability to have multiple journals open at a time. A new function, A/R Payment Reversal [arpayreversal], now allows users to reverse entire payments that were entered via Customer Payments Entry [payment.entry]. The reversal is applied at the check level, in the same manner as payment entry, by statement and/or shipment. Additional invoice requirements have been added in Billing A/R Customer File [cst.maint], under the Invoicing Details tab, including frequency, type, attachments and new hold rule. New invoice preferences have been added to the Billing (A/R) Customer File [cst.maint], under the Invoice Preferences tab, which allow you to create invoice preferences at a Company level. You can create different invoice requirements for the same customer but with different companies within your organization. Summary Statements now show both individual and grand total tax amounts. 3

4 A new function, Short and Overpayments [shortoverpay], allows you to review and analyze short and overpayments from customers. You can issue balance due invoices for the amounts or write them off, in full or in part. Added Audit Required tab with new required auditing capabilities by Company and Service Type to the Billing (A/R) Customer File [cst.maint]. Adjustments to Posted Shipment [sales.entry] has been enhanced to also search for a shipment number or waybill number and allows users to add BOL or Waybill number as a reference to the pro. Export AR-GL Statistics [exparst] was enhanced to show Entity/Division and Service fields in place of the Company field along with an option to print the report in Summary or Detail. Improved the user workflow and control in A/R Notes by adding a button to the follow-up date field with a date select option and a Notes text box. Added a filter to the A/R Transaction Tab that, when checked, allows transactions that have occurred since the A/R year and period indicated to be included in the lookup. Added the ability to print overdue statements based on collector code in the Billing (A/R) Customer File [cst.maint]. Allows collectors to run their overdue statements for only their accounts and not have to search individually. Improved the user experience by modifying the Enter/Return key on the Locate button to prevent a user from reaching for their mouse to click the "Locate button". This is located on the "Detail" tab of the "Smart Application" window for customer payments. Billing Added the ability to see shipper/consignee and debtor rate notes at the same time in Shipment Entry [frght.entry]. Added the ability to apply customized units of measure defaults for cube data entry which can be edited at time of entry in Shipment Entry [frght.entry]. Made enhancements to the Dimensions box of Shipment Entry [frght.entry] to include linear foot factor, total linear foot (entered), linear foot dimensional weight, scanned linear foot, and scanned foot dimensional weight. By changing rate notes to Shipment Notes in Customer Billing & Pricing Profile, the system will now display adjustment notes, audit notes and rate notes. 4

5 Added ability to view adjustment notes and audit notes in shipment entry, audit entry and adjustment entry. Shipment Entry [frght.entry] was enhanced to look up revenue and/or non-revenue keywords. Added a field under the AR Customer Invoicing detail tab to indicate when an EDI 210 is set up for the account. A Unit of Measure field was added to Billing (A/R) Customer File [cst.maint], Invoicing tab, to indicate the customer preference for pounds (P) or kilograms (K) during shipment or quote entry process. As the default setting is pounds, all kilogram entries will be converted to pounds during shipment or quote entry. FACTS Billing (A/R) Customer Maintenance has a County Field (where customer is located) and a Currency Field (currency customer wants to be invoiced in). In our newest release, the currency fields have been added to rate tables and customer keyword exception maintenance. When a pro is rated, if a customer s currency does not match the current rate table, an exchange rate conversion will be applied to the shipment. The conversion percentages are set up in Exchange Rates [exch.rate.maint] with a default percentage or customer specific percentage. When the pro is posted, the applicable general ledger entries for the exchange rate will be created. This is not intended for interline carriers that wish to be paid in an alternative currency. In the Carrier / Agent file - when entering a new carrier, entering the zip code will now automatically display the City & State associated to the that zip code. A new Consolidation Rule has been created to be used in Customer in Billing (A/R) Customer File [cst.maint] to set up a manual consolidation for that customer. In conjunction, a new Manual Consolidation [manualcons] function has been created where user can select which shipments should be consolidated from a list of shipments for that customer. Consolidations are created and closed in this screen. The Cube/Reweigh Entry [cubereweighent] function has been enhanced to speed up data entry by using a tab key instead of a mouse. A pieces (qty) column has been added for entering of multiple pieces with same dimensions, reweigh weight, scan type, unit of measure and linear feet. The Dims Tab in shipment entry and quote entry functions has been reformatted to separate entered data from scanned data. There are now multiple new types of scans available. Shippers Cube (BOL dimensions entered from shipment Entry, Cube/Reweigh Loose Items entered in Quick Entry, Cube/Reweigh Pallets entered in Quick Entry, Cube/Reweight imported from external systems. Enhanced view will also show the terminal where scans took place. The Quote Entry [frghtquote] program was enhanced to save all recipients that the quote was original sent to. They can be viewed under the get info button. 5

6 The message advising a user that the service does not match the particular lane was changed from a hard stop to a soft warning message only, allowing user to continue. New functions were added to allow users to create, print and manage orders of preprinted bills of lading for repetitive customer moves. You can also manage pro labels (pro number stickers) and preassigned pro numbers (non-labels) assigned to your customers. A new Requested Arrival Date function (RAD) (usually represents a daily shipment agreement between a shipper and consignee) has been created in Reference Mask Validation [ref.validate]. The shipment entry function was also enhanced to prompt a user for the RAD date if there is not already one on the shipment and if the shipment criteria matches record created above. If there is no RAD date on the BOL at time of entry, the RAD date/time will populate without a specific date or time. Billing Service Types enhancements include permitting the use of 4 characters, adding Company Code, Pickup/Delivery or Both and Del Stop Service Type. Added the option so if a user types in the customer # and presses the ENTER key, a search option appears. Expanded the custclone function option/checkbox to allow a user to expire or delete existing target data. Added logic to copy trip details to the original shipment when an adjustment is made. On Pickup Windows called from Shipment Entry, we added an Alt shortcut key for OK, Cancel and Print Rate Confirmation. Added validation to Shipment Entry to only allow the selection of Adjustment Types that are not "Replace Pro." Currently when a PU is created from Shipment Entry for a future date, we create a ship history entry for 'PU LOG'. We made a change to use the date the PU was entered for this ship history date and not the requested pickup date. Modified the Qte/Pro feature in Shipment Entry Qte/Pro to allow the creation of multiple copies of the freight bill. During the shipment entry process, upon entry of a carrier, the system will now validate any insurance that is set up in the carrier file so that the pro date on a shipment will fall between the effective date and expiration date of that insurance. It will provide a warning that the particular insurance is expired but will not prevent the user from utilizing the carrier should they choose. It does not attempt to validate the existence of a particular insurance. 6

7 Added a button in the "Bill-To" field in Shipment Entry. If the Bill-To has a different Mail-To Customer, the system will show a "Mail To" button to allow the user to use a mouse to show up a Dialogue box of the Mail-To information. Added the ability for a user to use the keyword QUOTE from the Accessorials/Additional Notes browse in Shipment Entry to link the Pro number to a Quote. Added the ability to modify the scanned dimensions field for any given Pro in shipment entry. Added the ability to enter a revenue only bill with no pieces or weight. Billing Masks have been added to bills that are electronically loaded into the system. Added 2 fields to the "missing images" reports: DRIVER and POD DATE. If the missing image is a "POD" image, then the driver is the POD DRIVER. If the missing image is a "BOL" image, then the driver is a POP DRIVER. If both images are missing, then we display the POD DRIVER. Adjustment to Posted Shipments [sales.entry] now has an option to send a re-bill to a customer. Only adjustments with an adjustment type that have the Inc-Doc set to yes will allow this new re-bill box to be checked. On the Billing A/R Customer File [cst.maint] main screen, a credit code was added to the Customer Number lookup (Customer Search) to allow a user to search for customers with specific credit code. New functionality was added to support the invoicing of Master and sub pros. Invoices for both master pro and sub pros will now be created. Master pro invoice will be printed, followed by all sub pro invoices. For revenue only shipments, added the ability to attach documents to invoices from the original cross-referenced pro for secondary bills that refer to an original freight movement bill. When a new Billing (A/R) Customer is created [cst.maint], users now have the option to create an Ops Profile for this same customer. Made a change to the AR Customer File -new account entry- so when the user determines the state/province either by manually entering it or having the system find it based on the Zip/postal code entered - the system will fill the Country code automatically using the value on file. ed invoices can now obtain a link to view images of bills of lading and/or proofs of deliveries. EDI Invoice requirements by Division were added to the A/R Customer File. 7

8 Expanded the character spaces on the MAWB and HAWB field in the shipment entry screen to 20 characters. We have added the ability to filter the" Images Without Shipments" report based upon the date range. When a user enters a date, images scanned on that date or after will appear on the Report. "Added several new columns to the Excel version of the P&L Report (Detail). - Origin - Origin Dock Scan - Destination - Destination dock scan -On a trip " Call Logging & Dispatch Added filter for Last Stop in Dispatch by Driver, Terminal View. If checked, the system will only display routes where the total of uncompleted DEL or PU stops is equal to or less than one. Also created a corresponding Dispatch Alert LS for last stop. Note that all Dispatch alerts will now be cleared once right click reviewed option is selected Four new columns added to Dispatch by Driver Terminal View (top browser) in Customized Columns List. Shift Hours, Equip Characteristics, Scheduled Start Time and Start Time. Alerts can now be sent to dispatch (in Terminal View) and driver via MDT, if a shipment is out for delivery (OFD), and an update is made to the pro record. In addition, a new system control has been created to list which fields will trigger an alert to dispatch and/or driver. Also changes made to a PU stop, in Stop Inquiry and Changes and non-pro tasks may also be set to trigger an alert to dispatch and to the driver. Result codes can also be set up to create alerts to dispatch when result code is applied to a stop. Added a Repeat button to be used to copy all header details from the customer profile and line items from the previous entered PU record. A new filter was added to Driver Check In / PU Verification [driver.verify] for Live or History with Date. Driver / Route Check-in screen added Tractor # to view, and ability to add a pickup or delivery stop and additional shipments in both live and history. With P&D Stop Inquiry we added a third-party button, company box and notification box to allow the creation of one-time notifications to customer. A new field to Mark Pro as On Time was created for Result Codes [res-cd-mnt]. When used, the shipment will be updated with a revised delivery date based on next service day for that point. This revised delivery date, will be displayed in the ETA (estimated time of arrival) and ADD (actual due date) fields in Customer Service Monitoring and Tracing and Shipment Detail. 8

9 (ODD) When original due date is changed, it will display in red, hovering over this field will show the Original Due Date (ODD). A change was made to the On-Time Service Calculation and result codes. If a non-excusable result code is used on an appointment, the result code will trigger a service failure. If a shipment is updated with an excusable result code on the appointment date, it is not a service failure and the calculation is done based on the next appointment date made. Result Codes [res-cd-mnt] can now be set to Inactive, so that it is no longer available for use, but remains on screen and can be reactivated when required Added full consignee name and address to the generated when a pickup is dispatched to a pager-type route. Shipments dispatched to the INT route, status will be changed from OFD (out for delivery) to TFP (transferred to partner). Result codes added manually to a pick up that requires a stop note, will now have these stop notes displayed in history. In Dispatch by Driver Terminal View [disp.control], the Customer Name is added to driver display, when driver is ENRT, ARR or DEP to a stop. In Dispatch by Driver Terminal View [disp.control], P&D Planning has been added to Operations drop down list. In Dispatch by Driver Terminal View [disp.control], LS Last Stop Alert will no longer be displayed for ADM routes. In Dispatch by Driver Terminal View [disp.control], the Trailer field was added to the lower browser. Added a Start Time and an Estimated PU Weight to upper browser in Terminal View. In Dispatch by Driver Terminal View [disp.control], the Close Time Inquiry screen has been enhanced to show all fields from the lower browser in Terminal View. Other changes include the ability to customize and save columns, a new Section filter, Auto Refresh, and right click option to move, move and dispatch, dispatch and un-dispatch. In Dispatch by Driver Terminal View [disp.control], in the lower browser, the user now has ability to click and drag stops within a route to re-sequence route. User must save their work after re-sequencing. In Dispatch by Driver Terminal View [disp.control], added a display of the Last Stop ETA and the Planned ETA at Route level. Changed Pickup Service Codes to PD Stop Service Codes, added Stop Type and Company fields and extended service type to 4 characters. Daily P&D Start up function was enhanced to list multiple records in the Terminal Control File and allow users to update the PU Plan for multiple records in the Terminal Control File. 9

10 The Delivery Codes function was enhanced to add Override Plan and Company selection. Our Operations Customer File was enhanced by adding the ability to assign multiple delivery codes to a customer. When a pdstop is created, all delivery codes for the consignee are added to the pdstop. Added import and export file creation for the Operations Customer file, allowing users to easily export, update and then re-import the file into FACTS. After confirming the shipment in the P.O.P Updates screen, we added a pop-up window with the option to add the Origin Connecting Line pro number. Once entered, the entry will populate the Shipment Details in the Orig C/L Ref# field. A Division field has been added to the template used to send s to Agents for pickups. The system now clear alerts (U, LS, L, C and M) when the daily reset is done, so no alerts appear on new day until routes are dispatched.) A Company Parameter was added to History Stop Recap [alpha.pulistls], to Today s Stop Recap [alpha.pulist]. to the Missed Pickup List [missed.pickup] and to the Count Pickup Calls (by Hour) [call.count] reports. Made a change to Trip Control to accept both lower- and upper-case characters. Excel enabled the History Stop Recap Report. Claims A new OS&D Dashboard Notifications [clm.dashboard] has been created allowing users to access event and claims records that are created in Claim Entry as well as Delivery Exception Notifications to customer. Created a Claim Status Maintenance [claim.status] table, allowing users to create and update Status Codes which can be assigned to claims. Changes to status will create a claim note that records the user who made the change and the new status that was created along with a date/time stamp. Letters from the Claim system (Claim Acknowledgement) can be customized to a certain extent by the user on an individual basis. The letters can be ed or hard copies printed as desired and the system will record the creation of the letter and create a corresponding Claim note indicating the user who created the letter, date time stamp and the recipient ( address). Note that currently, this enhancement only works with EBE s Documents Management System. 10

11 New Salvage Inventory screens have been built to manage salvage inventory, Terminal View and Central View. Terminals are only allowed to view salvage at their location, whereas users with a Central View can view all locations. When disposition is determined, Terminals have 4 options; Return salvage to Shipper, donate salvage, dump salvage or send salvage disposition to Central Salvage for final disposition. Inventory screens are updated as salvage is disposed. New inventory reports have been created for Terminal and Central salvage locations. Multiple OS&D (events) can be created against one pro, if an event already exists, user will be prompted with a warning message, but will be able to create a new event. Added fields to the browser section of the OSD Resolution screen. New fields include Origin terminal, Description keyword, Shipper and Consignee. Made changes to the Claim system to support suffix pros. When a pro is replaced, we now apply the claim against the latest pro version. Customer Service There are various new types of notifications that can be sent to customer such as Accessorial Notification, Delivery Appointment, Delivery Notification, Delivery Service Interruption, FSC Notification, Out for Delivery, OS&D Notification, Pre-Storage Notification, Pre-Waiting Time Notification, Pickup Notification, Pickup Service Interruption. Notifications can be set up as ongoing or one-time notifications. Any notifications sent will be shown in the tracing shipment details screen. Our transit Time Query function [TransitInquiry] added search boxes for Origin City and Destination City. The browser section was updated to include service type, service description, origin terminal, origin service days, destination terminal, destination servicing dates, expected delivery date, transit days. A new tab was added to Billing (A/R) Customer [cst.maint] Preferences, allowing accounts to be flagged as WIN new customer monitoring or ACT account in jeopardy. These flags will treat shipments as Hot on all P&D Manifests (Strip/Loading & Driver), Linehaul Board, P&D Planning, Dock Management Board, P&D Dispatch, Agent Web Portal, Mobility, and Customer Service. A new function to Create/Modify Customer Notification [custnotif] allows users to create/modify customer s notifications. Enhanced our transit time calculator to consider regional holidays with pickup requests. Amended the Audit & Adjustment Tab on the Freight Bill Entry screen so when there are no Audit or Adjustment Notes for the accounts involved, the Additional Notes' tab will be disabled. 11

12 This helps users determine if there are any Audit or Adjustment Notes without being forced to open the tab on each freight bill. Enhanced the Customer Billing & Pricing Profile [c.r], Terms and Conditions tab to show terms and conditions by effective date. Improved the view of the Customer Billing and Pricing profile and added shortcut keys for "Last Customer and "Search. We also added a check box for "on hold" shipments. Delivery Planning Routing Logic has been enhanced by Division / by Terminal, Default Postal Code, Service Type, Customer override or attribute. Enhanced the Terminal Control File to include P&D Route Plans for each terminal and removed the Delivery Plan and Pick up Plan from Daily Operations tab. Added a new tab Route Plans to enter and store route plans for terminal by Company, Service Type, Type (Pickup, Delivery or Both) and Plan. A new function was added to our Terminal Route Plans to permit users to update plans without accessing the Terminal Control File. A Shipper column was added to Group Delivery Assignment [grpdel]. Enhanced P&D Planning by allowing the creation of route notes to dispatcher or driver. Changes in Route Name or Route Section made in P&D Planning, will now also display in Terminal view. An enhancement made to P&D Planning, Dispatch Routes (from planning) will allow the printing of Manifest and Delivery Receipts. The ODD (original due date) field has been added to the Customize Column function in P&D Planning [route.balance]. In Highway Dispatch, we added an option where right clicking on main board will Launch Create/Modify Load. Enhanced logic to look for all status codes instead of only the last status. Made a change to set the Load Sequence value whenever a PU Stop is dispatched to a route. For example, when a stop is dispatched to a route, the system will set the next available number in sequence to the load sequence field of the PDSTOP. 12

13 Added a new system control, which when set, auto populates the "Arrive at" and "Depart at" time fields with the current local terminal time (using the currently at Terminal value) in confirm.del function. "Added a right click option to ""create manifest"" from the load planning board. Made a change to block a user from "dragging and dropping" a delivery stop as this was causing unintentional stop reassignments. Now a user must right click and user the MOVE or MOVE and DISPATCH option which will prompt a warning that the stop is about to be moved. Dock Management Added a new right-click option in Route Balancing and Sequencing screen. Under Route Notes, removed Dock Supervisor and Dock Worker notes and replaced with Dock Note. Planning Note and Dock Notes are now converted to Dispatch Notes once Route is dispatched. New Equipment Dashboard has been created to help with equipment balancing needs for fleets, between terminals or terminal groups by comparing your target equipment numbers to actual numbers. Desired equipment targets are set in the Equipment Pool [equippool] function. Targets can be set by fleet, class and equipment type. Added a supervisor approval prompt on the device when a dockworker is trying to close an open item still on an assignment. Driver Verification Added functionality in Driver Check In/PU Verification to print Cash Receipts for any COD shipments on the driver route, so money turned in by driver to clerk can be signed off. Added functionality in Driver Check In/PU Verification to print shipping labels for pickups, one label per piece. The number of ship labels driver has on hand and a maximum number of ship labels per shipment is set as default in Company File [co.mnt]. Driver Check in/pu Verification function enhanced to highlight if more than one record has the same pro number, or if any of the pro numbers are duplicates with existing shipments. The row will be flagged (In yellow) with a processing error, where user must resolve the duplication by entering a new pro number before proceeding. User will not be allowed to process until duplication is fixed. 13

14 EDI Added a utility that takes a list of pros (with suffixes) in a.csv file and triggers them for resend via 210. Made an enhancement to allow for converting codes on outbound EDI files. For example, if an EDI partner wants CD for the delivery status code, we can set up a conversion from D1 to CD for the partner. General Ledger Moved the General Journal reset button to the preview screen. [general.journ]. Interfaces Note that these interfaces may require additional fees and setup and configuration costs are additional. Created an interface to D83 Simulator for rating. D83 is a North American (US and Canada) based utility for determining revenue division (percentage splits) between two or three partner carriers. You provide the pickup postal code, the delivery postal code and the carrier s interchange postal codes and returned are each carrier's percentages, totaling 100%, for the distance they moved the freight. Developed an interface to SkyBitz for operations. SkyBitz is a leading remote asset and trailer tracking system and information management service provider. Once subscribed, FACTS users can view the location of trailers. Developed an integration between FACTS and the Rice Lake Dimensioning system for our Dock Management System. Logistics Management Added a warning when insurance has expired for selected carriers. Added a field for "Origin I/L" with the same functionality that currently exists for "Destination I/L" (including an option to add the Origin C/L number) to the Carrier/Agent Manifest. Preprints Enhanced our preprint program to allow a user to automatically change all statuses selected from Print Status to Range for selected records. Previously, a user had to go back to the main screen to change the status one at a time. 14

15 When creating a new preprint order and the user selects the lookup option next to each customer, we added the address information (street) to display when there are a number of similar accounts in the same city. A check box to the left of the available orders ( Shift + Ctrl ) is now available to allow the user to select all the orders to print, confirm that the orders will be changed to Print status and then proceed. Currently when the user wants to print a number of orders, they must select one-line item, select the Print button and must choose Yes to proceed. Made it possible for a user to select multiple orders to be edited and have a queue created. Once in the audit screen, the user will be presented with the next order after hitting Save until all orders in the queue have been audited. This enhancement replaces the current one-at-atime method where each individual order needs to be processed one by one. In addition, a filter to select a quantity of orders to review was added. Added an option to enter information manually from the Shipper or Consignee details in Preprint Order Update. Rating Added a new function - Un-Rate Posted Shipments for Batch Rating [unrateposted]- to mass un-rate posted shipments by customer, date range, weight, class, company, service type and adjustment type. This function creates suffix pros and reverses the A/R amounts and any interline payable amounts to zero. Added the ability to view special rate instructions during the audit process for posted bills in shipment entry. Enhanced system to add a rate, audit or shipment note in Billing A/R Customer File and Billing and Pricing Profiles. Additional fields were added to Rate Audit [rate.asst], Rate Assistance tab, Hold All which will mark all selected records to be held preventing them from posting, and Release All which will release all selected records from hold status allowing them to be posted to A/R. A Review Date field was added to Rate Profile, Lane Exceptions, Keyword Exceptions, Rate Exceptions. This new date is available in Rate Log reporting and on the Expiry Date by Salesmen report. Currency fields have been added to rate tables and customer keyword exception maintenance. As conversion percentages are set up in Exchange Rates [exch.rate.maint] with a default percentage or customer specific percentage, when the pro is posted, the applicable general ledger entries for the exchange rate will be created. This does not deal with interline carriers that wish to be paid in an alternative currency. Added a new function - Mass Changes to Keyword Charge [masskeyupd] - to facilitate a mass increase or decrease base keyword/accessorial charges. Made an enhancement to FSC to allow FSC levels to be based on variable index price and/or on weight of the shipment along with percentage, cents per mile or cents per kilometer. Customer Rate Exceptions and Customer Lane Exceptions have been enhanced by adding types of Mile or Kilometer, enabling a user to enter a specific agreed upon distance between shipper and consignee. Changes in FSC levels can be set to generate an notifications to contacts set up in Billing (A/R) Customer File [cst.maint]. Created a new function to allow the simplified entry of keywords that are exempt from FSC on a customer by customer basis. [cust.fsc.exmpt]. 17 Keyword & Accessorial [keyword.maint] and Customer Keyword Exceptions [keyword.except] programs were modified to add a Unit of Measure for Days and a new Free Time field so when the UOM is days or hours, the free time can be entered. Enhanced the functionality of time based accessorials to prompt the user to enter a start time in shipment entry so the system then will track and adjust the charges until the shipment is delivered. Replacement to the preceding 3 bullet points: Enhancement to the Consolidation process to simplify the process of Consolidation, User enabled setup of consolidation factors and the ability to manipulate individual pro records within Consolidations. Enhanced our points list to support different routings by division and service by adding extra PU & delivery days and service columns (one day per week). Points list import and export programs were also updated. A new function, Modify Points List [mod.pointslist] was created to allow a mass update. Users can download an existing points list or partial list into a.csv file to modify before importing back into FACTS. Transit matrix was enhanced to support above changes to points list. A new program was created called Import ACI Guide has been added. [aciguide.imp]. An Accessorial Geographic Restrictions [accgeores.mnt] program was added to create geographic restrictions for accessorial keywords by postal code range, country, company and/or service. This functionality has been built into shipment and quote entry to validate accessorial keywords used on shipments. If an accessorial keyword is found in this table, the system will not allow the accessorial to be saved to the shipment or quote. Keyword & Accessorials [keyword.maint] and Customer Keyword Exceptions [keyword.except] maintenance functions were enhanced to set up accessorials with weight breaks as a percentage of revenue. An option was added to move all shipments that have been created to audit status. (move2audit]. Enhanced our rate engine to allow the use of 3-digit zip/postal codes and rate groups for both Origin & Destination combinations in line items in an RTC. Intended for customers that are testing FACTS prior to deployment into Production, we added a "Test Mode" system control switch so if set, all s out of the system will get re-directed to a specific Address, rather than to the customer (for example) assigned in the application. Tracing Added a new function, Customer Service Monitoring and Tracing [custsrvtrack]. It is similar to Multi Trace but geared more towards operations monitoring. The program allows a user to view and trace by ETA date and will highlight in yellow, any shipments in jeopardy of being late and highlight in red once the shipment hits commitment. (M1266). The ETA date gets updated as shipments are manifested and OFD status applied. This ETA field is being used to calculate an RDD (Revised Delivery Date). Filters permit the viewing of PUs, delivered or undelivered shipments along with date and time, out for delivery, appointments, quotes, or revenue only shipments. (M1235). In addition, the program allows a user to choose multiple debtors, shippers or consignees. Shipment Details (Shipment Tracing), Dimension Tab has been enhanced to display the source of scans. In the "Trace by Quote" program, if a user enters a quote number and presses the ENTER key, the system will automatically perform a search so that a user no longer has to use the mouse and press Search and/or press Alt-S. Enhanced the Tracing Shipment Detail Screen by adding a button on the upper right side of the screen under the Billing section. If the shipment is not posted, the button is labeled 'UPDATE which allows you to make changes to the pro. However, if the pro is posted, then this button is labeled 'ADJUST' and if you select this button, it will immediately open the Adjustment to Posted Pro program. In Tracing (Probill details), made a change to the program to display and allow changes the subject line. Enhanced shipment tracing to make it easier for customer service to see web tracking EXACTLY like a customer would see it, without the customer service rep needing to know the customer's password. 24

Enhanced the web to take the terminal code into consideration when checking for holidays. Modified the proalert system to allow web users to request text message alerts in addition to alerts. Added an option to suppress selected statuses in the shipment history display on the web. In web tracking, made a change to only show the dimensions with the cube used to calculate the billable weight. Made a change to only display the description of the status code and not the code name itself. Made enhancements to the sales analysis reports by adding an optional column for sales territory as well as configuration options for defaulting the checkboxes for customer selection. Removed the need for a space with postal codes in transit time inquiry. Added the contact field to the Excel download for the Sales Analysis Report on the web. Added a drop-down filter for Service Type to Date Trace and Web Trace. Removed the need to manifest a shipment to an agent for it to show on the agent web portal. Added an option to not flag a bill of lading as third party if the shipper's customer code is the same as the debtor customer code. 25
