6 Do not press the lift or lowering buttons while the stacker is moving. Quickly switching the two buttons may cause damage to the stacker. Do not load heavy goods onto the forks quickly. Use steady motions when loading. Before moving, assure that the load is centered and secured with a load restraining device. Do not allow people to sit on ride stacker. Do not use to transport people or animals. Do not operate with stacker in the raised position. Lock wheels while raising or lowering a load. Do not leave loads or goods on the forks for a long period of time in the raised position. This can cause damage to the stacker. When the stacker is not in use, the forks should be lowered to the lowest position. Keep people and property clear from under the load. Before Each Use Always check for damages or worn parts before using the stacker. Broken parts will affect the stacker operation. Replace or repair damaged or worn parts immediately. Battery Information Battery Initial Charge: Charge batteries for a minimum of 12 hours or until the LED indicator light on the panel shows 100%. When charging batteries, the stacker must be parked in a secure area with proper ventilation. Check that all the cables are connected tightly and no signs of damage appear. If a replacement battery is used, follow any safety regulations as well as any specific instructions from the battery manufacturer. The battery panel must never be removed before or during charging. An open panel can cause injury or death from electric shock. It is recommended to charge the batteries whenever the stacker is not in use. This helps maintain the life of the batteries. The ON-Board charger should always be used for charging batteries with this stacker. The average charge time is 9 to 12 hours for a fully discharged battery. When the battery is fully charged, the charger will automatically transfer to non-charging status in order to avoid damage of the batteries. It is recommended to check the water level of the batteries every 3 to 6 months. Operating Instructions WARNING Do not exceed the rated load capacity. Loads must be evenly distributed on the forks. Always lock the wheels when raising or Page 6 of 13

7 lowering a load. Batteries contain acid! When handling batteries, ALWAYS wear approved safety goggles, rubber gloves, and protective clothing that are able to protect you from the acid. Acid can cause burns and injury. Risk of fire can occur when working with batteries. Avoid any open flame, smoking, or any flammable situations when handling batteries! Before each use, check to make sure the stacker is in proper working condition. Check the moving parts, hydraulic hoses, wheels, etc. Do not use the stacker if it is not operating properly. Have a qualified mechanic make any necessary repairs before using. Check the battery power as indicated in Fig. 1. Pull the general power supply switch out to turn on the general power supply, unlock the electric lock on the handle. Check the electric energy meter on the instrument panel of the stacker. If the zero end is lit, this indicates there is no power in the batteries and the batteries need to be charged. Do not operate the stacker without well-charged batteries, as this can greatly reduce the service life of the batteries and damage the batteries. Check that the stacker s lifting and lowering operation is working properly. Stacking and Handling Loads Turn on the stacker by unlocking the electric door lock. Move the stacker near the load to be transported. Press the lowering button and adjust the height of the forks to a proper position for the pallet of the load. Insert the forks slowly and as deep as possible into the pallet. Press the lifting button until the forks are 8-12 inches from the ground (8 to 12 inch maximum height is recommended when transporting goods). Move the stacker to the desired location of the load and stop slowly. Keep the front of the forks at a minimum of 4 inches from any shelf or racking. Press the lifting button to raise the forks to a proper height with the shelf or racking. (Keep the bottom of the pallet to a minimum of 4 inches higher than the shelf or rack.) Move the goods slowly to the correct position of the shelf or rack, and press the lowering button. Slowly place the goods carefully on the shelf or rack. Slowly back the forks away from the goods and move the stacker slowly to remove the forks out of the pallet. Keep your stacker in good repair by adopting a program of conscientious repair and maintenance. If any abnormal vibrations or noise occurs, have the problem corrected before further use. Have necessary repairs made by qualified service personnel. Routine Maintenance: Routine maintenance for the stacker consists of cleaning it regularly, keeping the batteries clean and charged, and examining any cords, hoses, or moving parts regularly for wear or potential damage. Never operate with damaged parts. Always repair any damage to the stacker before using or operating it at any time. Maintenance for Mechanical System/Parts: Perform at least every six months. Add lubricant to the bearings of the drive wheel and the doorframe. Examine fittings and connections to be sure they are fully tightened. Check the flexibility and condition of wheels, and the door-frame rollers. Check that the lifting range of the forks is operating normally. The operation noise level of the stacker should be no more than 70dB. Maintenance for Hydraulic System/Parts: Perform at least every six months. Check the oil cylinder for any leakage externally or internally. Check all the hydraulic hose connections for any leakage. The hydraulic oil should be kept clean and generally should be replaced every 12 months. Only ISO hydraulic oil should be used. For higher temperature conditions, HL-N46 or HL- N68 should be used; for lower temperature conditions, HV-N46 or HV-N68 hydraulic oil. Old hydraulic oil should be treated according to any local rules and regulations. Maintenance for Electric Equipment/ Batteries: Perform at least every three months. ALWAYS wear safety goggles and rubber gloves when working with batteries. Every 3 to 6 months, check the level of the water in the batteries (only when using no-seal batteries). Remove the battery cap and check if the water level is below the fill line. ONLY use distilled water, if any is needed. Securely replace the battery caps and begin charging and using as normal. Check to make sure that the battery terminals are clean. Terminals should be kept clean with Vaseline and tightened. Examine any of the connections of the electrical devices or switches, making sure they are tight and operating properly without sign of wear to wires. Page 8 of 13
