4 Tyvek Air Cargo Covers for Pharmaceuticals Low Thermal Mass Testing Test Objective Evaluate the performance of DuPont Tyvek Air Cargo Cover for Pharmaceutical vs. select competitive materials in such conditions where the impact of thermal mass is minimized. Test Design Euro Size pallet 48 x32 x48 18 empty boxes measuring 15 x15 x15 were stacked 3W X 2D x 3H Temperatures were monitored at top center, center of south facing side & inside the box at the top south west corner Tyvek Pharma Cover (W/S) Metallized Bubble Wrap White Stretch wrap Black Stretch wrap Clear Stretch wrap 4

6 Pharmaceutical Route Profile Test Protocol Test Objectives Test the efficacy of DuPont Tyvek Air Cargo covers on: Simulated Pharmaceutical load when exposed to the typical temperatures encountered during an international shipping route. Compare the results to the control which consisted of an identical load protected by stretch wrap only. Test Design Euro Size pallet (48 x 32 x 48 2 W x 3 D x 3 H) grid pattern. Boxes contained liquid filled pads to simulate a low to medium thermal mass content. ( 110 liters ) Probes immersed into vials containing saline solution were used to monitor simulated product temperatures. 7 data loggers were placed on each load for a total of 21 temperature readings per load. No other packaging or insulated material was used. The red dots mark the logger positions. The loggers are placed beneath the cover Tyvek Pharma (test item) and the wrapped foil (reference item). 6
