1 This business document is used to inform the buyer of goods in transit to the place of delivery. Transport units should be barcoded with SSCC (Serial Shipping Container Code) which enables further automation of the delivery. DESPATCH ADVICE HEADER Comment: The following terms occur once per despatch advice. * T0125 Despatch advice number Definition: A unique number for identification of the despatch advice. Comment: Each new despatch advice must have a unique identity. In order to guarantee a globally unique identity, a GDTI may be used. A GDTI (Global Document Type Identifier) is an alphanumeric string including from 14 up to 30 digits. Format: An alphanumeric string including up to 30 characters. 0 T0126 Despatch advice date Definition: Date when supplier created despatch advice * T3316 Reference to order Definition: The identity of the order that this business document refers to. Comment: Reference to buyer's order number. This term is not used in case of an orderless process. The despatch advice is checked against the order at both header level and line level. If the order has been adjusted by an order confirmation the despatch advice is checked against the adjusted order. Format: An alphanumeric string including up to 30 characters. 0 DESPATCH DATE Comment: The class is required when the price is determined by the date at which the goods leaves the supplier. One and only one of "Despatch date" and T3381 Despatch date time" may be stated. Stereotype: choice T0127 Despatch date Definition: Date at which the goods left the supplier (or shipper). T3381 Despatch date time Definition: Date and point of time at which the goods left (or are planned to leave) the supplier (or shipper) HHMM Length: 12 ESTIMATED DELIVERY DATE Comment: If the delivery date is other than the date in "T3332 Requested delivery date and time" or "T0040 Requested delivery date" of the order. One and only one of "T3344 Estimated delivery date" and "T3227 Estimated delivery date and time" may be stated. Stereotype: choice T3344 Estimated delivery date Definition: Date when the shipper of the goods expects the delivery to arrive to the receiver. T3227 Estimated delivery date and time Definition: Date and point of time when the shipper of the goods expects the delivery to arrive to the receiver. HHMM Length: 12 SUPPLIER PARTY Comment: The class contains information about the supplier and other supplier parties, if any. T0009 Supplier identification, GLN Definition: Identity of a party formally defined as the seller in a commercial agreement = no or only one occurence 1..1 = occurs exactly once Page 1 / 8

2 T0129 Shipper identification, GLN Definition: Identity of a party from whom the goods has been sent from. Comment: The attribute is used when the supplier wants to specify that the goods are sent from another party than the supplier. If a shipper is not specified it is presumed that the goods are sent from the supplier. The shipper can for example be an internal or external warehouse unit. + T2240 Ship from location identification, GLN Definition: Identity of a location from which the trade item may be shipped, or picked up by the retailer. Comment: The attribute is used when the buyer and the supplier have agreed that the goods will be picked up by the buyer. If the buyer and the supplier have agreed that the goods will be picked up by the buyer, but a ship from location is not specified, it is presumed that goods should be picked up at the shipper. If nor a shipper is specified it is presumed that the goods should be picked up at the supplier. BUYER PARTY Comment: The class contains information about the buyer and other buyer parties, if any. T0008 Buyer identification, GLN Definition: Identity of a party formally defined as the buyer in a commercial agreement. T0036 Consignee identification, GLN Definition: Identity of a party who approves receipt of goods. Comment: The attribute is used when another party than the buyer should approve the receipt of goods. If a consignee is not specified it is presumed that the consignee is the same as the buyer and the goods will be delivered to the buyer's address. The consignee can for example be the buyer s central goods terminal. T0037 Delivery place identification, GLN Definition: Identity of the location to where the goods will be delivered. Comment: The attribute is used when a specific delivery place should be specified. If a delivery place is not specified it is presumed that the goods should be delivered to the consignee s address. If nor a consignee is specified it is presumed that the goods should be delivered to the consignee s address. 3 DELIVERY INFORMATION T3105 Mode of transport Definition: Method of transport used for carriage of the goods. Code/Description 10 Maritime transport This code should be used whenever the transport vehicle completes any part of ist journey by sea. 20 Rail transport 30 Road transport 40 Air transport 50 Mail (Actual mode of transport unknown) - This code is provided for practical reasons, despite the fact that mail is not a genuine mode of transport. In many countries, the value of merchandise exported by mail is considerable, but the exporter or importer concerned would be unable to state by which mode postal items had passed the national border. 60 Multimodal transport This code is used when goods are carried to their destination by at least two different modes on the basis of one transport contract. (Local pick-up and delivery of goods out in the performance of a unimodal transport contract shall not be considered as multimodal transport.) 70 Fixed transport installations This code applies to installations for continuous transport such as pipelines, ropeways and electric power lines. 100 Courier service (EAN Code) A courier service used to collect and deliver a consignment to its destination. DESPATCH ADVICE PACKAGE LEVEL 1.. unbounded Comment: One despatch package level occurs once per logistic unit/pallet. After the dispatch package level, the item lines for the items included in the dispatch are specified after the despatch package level. If the whole line varies or is backordered, then these items are sent under the same despatch package level. The class "Despatch advice package" is not used in this case. T3304 Despatch package level Definition: A sequence number for the despatch package level within the business document. Comment: The despatch package level is numbered sequentially so that the information about every despatched package is specified on an individual level. Format: An integer including up to six digits. Maximum Total Digits: 6 DESPATCH ADVICE PACKAGE Comment: Information about the despatch advice package, for exemple identity (SSCC), gross weight and the properties of the logistic unit, is specified here = no or only one occurence 1..1 = occurs exactly once Page 3 / 8

4 T0138 Logistic unit identification, SSCC Definition: Identity for the individual logistic unit as a globally unique and unambiguous number. Comment: The identity gives access to logistic information about the physical logistic unit. The identity enables tracking and tracing of an individual logistic unit when it is transported and stored. Comment: The attribute is mandatory for every shipped logistic unit. Only one SSCC per level can be specified. The attribute is not mandatory if the whole receiving advice package is undershipped, that is, differs or is backorder listed. Format: SSCC (Serial Shipping Container Code). An alphanumeric string including exactly 18 digits. Length: 18 T0141 Package gross weight Definition: Gross weight of a package including packaging materiel for transport ordering and incoming goods control Format: An integer including up to five digits. Maximum Total Digits: 5 + T2279 Logistic unit type, code Definition: Code indicating type of logistic unit or transport packing. Comment: See code list for T0148, Example: code value =SRS/Paletten Grey Returnable EUR size pallet. Format: GTIN (Global Trade Item Number). An alphanumeric string including exactly 14 digits. Length: 14 DESPATCH ADVICE PACKAGE TYPE Comment: The pallet or package type is specified here. Only one of "T2244 Pallet type code" and "T0137 Package type" may be used per logistic unit. Stereotype: choice + T2244 Pallet type code Definition: Indicates the type of dispatch unit being used for the trade item. Comment: See code values in code list T2244, Format: An alphanumeric string. T0137 Package type Definition: Type of package or container in which the goods are packed. Comment: See code values in code list T0137, DESPATCH ADVICE LINE 1.. unbounded Comment: The following terms occur once for each trade item in the package described in the immediately preceding package detail line. A trade item of an order line may be distributed between several packages within the same delivery. In order to avoid the use of decimal points weight, length and volume should be expressed in gram, millimeter and millilitre. In order to meet the traceability requirements each trade item should be stated once per GTIN, batch number and/or best before date. Stereotype: choice T0051 Line number Definition: A sequence number within the business document. Comment: Line numbers will be a number in ascending order. E.g 1, 2, 3, 4 and so on Alt 10, 20, 30,... 5 T3382 Returnable asset owner identification, GLN Definition: Identity of the party who owns the returnable assets. Comment: The attribute specifies the owner of the returnable asset described in the class "Despatch advice package type" on the despatch advice package level. The attribute is only used after an agreement with the buyer. TRADE ITEM DELIVERED ITEM Comment: Identity of the trade item that the supplier delivers to the buyer. T0154 Trade item identification, GTIN Definition: Identity for the trade item as a globally unique and unambiguous number. Comment: The identity gives access to information about the trade item (the product or service). The identity is used when ordering, delivering and invoicing the trade item. Comment: Identity of this article or package is exchanged as a GTIN. Any of: GTIN-13 GTIN-14 GTIN-8 GTIN-12 Format: GTIN (Global Trade Item Number). An alphanumeric string including exactly 14 digits. Length: 14 T0172 Supplier's article number Definition: The trade item number according to the supplier's own numbering system. Comment: The number is not a GTIN (Global Trade Item Number). Comment: May only be used if the trade item is an orderable unit for the wholesaler. This identification must be unique, that is, it may not be used on any other trade item or trade item hierarchy from the same supplier. Format: An alphanumeric string including up to 10 characters. Length: REPLACED TRADE ITEM T0057 Replaced trade item identification, GTIN Definition: The identity as a globally unique and unambiguous number for the trade item being replaced by a new item. Format: GTIN (Global Trade Item Number). An alphanumeric string including exactly 14 digits. Length: 14 + T1318 Replaced supplier item number Definition: Supplier's item number which is replaced by another item number issued by the same supplier Format: An alphanumeric string including up to 35 characters. 5 PRODUCTION DATA Comment: The class contains information about batch number, best before date or serial numer on the item, if any. T0132 Batch number Definition: Batch or lot number refering to production. Comment: The attribute is mandatory when the item is marked with a batch number. A batch number is a unique identity for a manufactured batch or daily production of an item. Format: An alphanumeric string including up to 20 characters. 6 T3276 Best before date Definition: Date before which the contents is in usable condition Comment: The attribute is mandatory when the item is marked with a "best before" date. A mixed pack or multi package may be marked with the "shortest" best before date of the contents. T3236 Serial number Definition: Serial or individual number. Format: An alphanumeric string including up to 20 characters. Length: DESPATCHED QUANTITY Comment: The classes "Despatched quantity" and " Despatched amount" is used to specify how much of the ordered item that will be sent from the buyer to the supplier. Alternative 1: For an item that is ordered and delivered per piece, the number of shipped units is specified in "T0131 Despatched quantity". Alternative 2: For a variable measure item ordered per piece, but sold per weight/volume, the number of despatched (ordered) items is specified in "T0131 Despatched quantity" (e.g. 10 (pcs of cheese)). The exact weight/volume is specified in "T0133 Despatched amount" (e.g. 5000) and the unit (e.g. gram) in "T0134 Unit of measurement for amount". Alternative 3: For a variable measure item ordered and sold per weight/volume, the quantity is specified in "T0131 Despatched quantity" and the unit (e.g. gram) in "T0055 Unit of measurement for quantity". If no measurement of unit is specified the quantity is considered to be per piece (default). * T0131 Despatched quantity Definition: The number of the item (packages) being despatched Comment: Delivered quantity of the trade item, irrespective of whether it is a variable quantity product or an item sold by piece. Format: A numeric value consisting of up to 15 digits including three decimals. Maximum Total Digits: 15 Maximum Decimal Digits: 3 T0055 Unit of measurement for quantity Definition: Unit of measurement in which the associated quantity is expressed. Comment: Used only when the ordered trade item is a variable quantity product. PCE is default value for items sold by piece. Code/Description GRM gram KGM kilogram A unit of mass equal to one thousand grams. LTR litre MGM milligram MLT millilitre MMT millimetre MTR metre DESPATCHED AMOUNT Comment: This class is used for variable measure items ordered per piece, but sold per weight/volume. 7 T0133 Despatched amount Definition: The amount despatched when the despatched quantity was ordered in pieces. Comment: The attribute is used to specify the exact weight/volume for variable measure items ordered per piece, but sold per weight/volume. Format: A numeric value consisting of up to 15 digits including three decimals. Maximum Total Digits: 15 Maximum Decimal Digits: 3 T0135 Dimension for amount Definition: The dimension in which the amount is expressed. Comment: The attribute indicates whether the despached amount is a weight or volume. The attribute is used for variable measure items. Comment: Codes: AAC - total net weight ABJ - volume T0134 Unit of measurement for amount Definition: Unit in which the associated amount is expressed. REFERENCE TO ORDER AND ORDER LINE Comment: The class is mandatory if the items are ordered according to an order, but the class is not used when there isn t an order. * T3316 Reference to order Definition: The identity of the order that this business document refers to. Comment: Use the same reference "T3316 Reference to order" as in the Despatch advice header, if nothing else has been agreed. Format: An alphanumeric string including up to 30 characters. 0 T3322 Reference to order line Definition: Reference to the line number of the order line that this line in the business document refers to. Format: An integer including up to six digits. Maximum Total Digits: 6 QUANTITY NOT DELIVERED Comment: Used according to agreement between parties if split deliveries are allowed. The order is considered to be delivered with one despatch advice if split deliveries are not allowed. The quantity of the ordered item, that will not be delivered, is specified here. It is possible to specify a new delivery date for the item, on the condition that a new order is placed. T0058 Quantity variance Definition: Quantity that differs from the ordered quantity. Comment: Shortfall is stated as a negative quantity. No further action, i.e. no back-order. Used in the last despatch advice for an order. States that no more items will be delivered. Format: A numeric value consisting of up to 15 digits including three decimals. Maximum Total Digits: 15 Maximum Decimal Digits: 3 T0211 Change reason Definition: Reason for changing an ordered quantity. Comment: Code list is available at see code list T0211. T1304 Possible delivery date Definition: The date when the next delivery can take place = no or only one occurence 1..1 = occurs exactly once Page 7 / 8

8 Comment: Date when the item can be delivered in a new order. This information can only be stated in combination with "T0058 Quantity variance". The date is not mandatory and should be considered as information from the buyer. CONTROL TOTAL T0042 Control total, quantities Definition: Hash total of all quantites in the business message. Comment: Sum of all quantities in "T0131 Despatched quantity". To be used according to agreement. Format: A numeric value consisting of up to 15 digits including three decimals. Maximum Total Digits: 15 Maximum Decimal Digits: 3 T0043 Control total, lines Definition: Number of lines in the business message. Comment: Number of lines (LIN segments) in the message.
