7 Modal uses innovative simulation programmes to deliver training to the maritime and offshore sectors. We recognise that the maritime and offshore sectors have their own unique training requirements so we are geared up to serve both markets with our full suite of Kongsberg K-Sim simulators which can be used individually or linked to provide comprehensive training to a range of personnel. Our trainers are experienced marine and maritime professionals who work closely with our clients to ensure we meet their needs during and post training. As well as our growing range of accredited courses, we re able to help clients build specific programmes to meet their needs including in-house training for teams and individuals through to planning or reviewing particular and potentially hazardous scenarios. 11 The simulators can be used individually or together to allow teams of crane operators, Banksman/Signalman, Slingers/ Hookers and offshore vessel operators to train together in a wide range of lifting operations and critical scenarios. The crane simulators can also be used to simulate an offshore ship s bridge and underwater ROV vehicle applications. At the heart of our crane driver simulator training suite are two full mission OSC crane simulators. Housed high on a mezzanine floor, in 4-metre domes, each with seven projectors, they are capable of creating incredibly realistic training environments. Crane type, setting, load type, vessel type (if offshore) and weather conditions can be manipulated to create a tailor-made training environment where skills and experience can be acquired quickly and safely. They also provide a perfect, safe way to test new procedures and processes. 11

13 Freight forwarding plays a key role in supply chains the world over, but the sector is changing. Operators are faced with a range of new challenges including: the need to reduce carbon emissions, the struggle to comply with ever more stringent regulation, and the commercial imperative to improve the efficiency and value of transport. Our suite of freight forwarding courses are delivered via distance learning, making them the ideal choice for those already in the industry, where time away from the desk to attend training courses just doesn t meet the fast-paced nature of the sector. Our programmes are designed to support the professional development of your current workforce, and entice new recruits to industry so vital to an island nation. 17 FACILITY HIRE Are you looking for somewhere different to host your next event or meeting? A venue with great travel links and leading facilities? Modal Training has a range of rooms available to hire out, each with its own integrated AV solution. We offer state-of-the-art 85 inch screens which can be linked to through any device. Across our facilities we also provide free wifi. The rooms we have to offer range from small meeting rooms holding up to 8 delegates, to double seminar rooms accommodating for 80 delegates. Across all room hire there is an option for both hot and cold buffet food and refreshments, with hot drinks starting at just 1.50/person/serving + VAT. This is available for both small and large groups. MEETING ROOM If you are looking for a small meeting room which holds up to 8 delegates then our Meeting Room is the ideal place. 75 / Day + VAT 40 / Half Day + VAT CLASSROOM / SEMINAR ROOM We have multiple classrooms available alongside two seminar rooms (both with disabled access). Using our state-of-the-art marine, crane and driving simulation suites, teams are able to navigate their way around wind farms, take on a slalom course, unload a vessel against the clock and much more. Events can be set up to meet your own objectives. Our simulators can be used to create bespoke scenarios and our trainers can deliver varying levels of challenge. We can run sessions for one team or many sub-teams.
