3 SPECIAL TRANSPORT When a load cannot be dismantled into units that can be transported without exceeding the limitations in terms of the dimensions and/or mass, it is classified as an abnormal/special load/cargo. if we translate this to common language: too heavy, too bulky, too wide, too long and too high load/cargo. In the case of transportation cargoes of larger dimensions and mass, we are talking about a SPECIAL TRANSPORT. Special transport services require specialized transport vehicles (semi-lowloader trailer, lowbed, mobile cranes...), tailored transport routes and project organization. The complexity of special transport therefore excludes improvisation and learning from mistakes. Exceptional transportation services must be carried out to represent the smallest possible obstacle to the everyday traffic flow and its safety and are economical. 3

You need an escort for transport of exceptional cargo on the entire transport route or just part of it. Therefore, it is necessary to obtain the appropriate permits issued by Slovenian Roads Agency, for safe transport of oversized cargo.
