2 PRO-E-BIKE Introduction The regional dissemination seminar organised by ITENE took place on February 16 th 2016 on Paterna, Valencia (Spain) at the facilities of ITENE. With more than 35 attendees, the regional dissemination seminar was a success and a great opportunity to on the one hand disseminate PROEBIKE project results and on the other hand to discuss about challenges that cities are facing in terms of achieving a sustainable urban mobility and logistics in which e-bikes (electric bikes and electric scooters) will play a major role in the future. The participants to the came from different backgrounds including PROEBIKE project partners (ITENE), project pilot companies (ENCICLE), project cities with action plan involved in the project (representatives of city of Valencia - INNDEA), entrepreneur in the sector of cyclelogistics from the region (VANAPELSDAL, BICIMENSAJERIA, RODANDO ECOMENSAJERIA ), city councils interested in improving the sustainability of the mobility and logistics within their cities (Ayuntamiento de Orihuela Orihuela city council), Universities (Polytecnical University of Valencia), Research Centers (LISSIT), sectorial associations (ADISLEV), ITC companies (RUMBO) and other entities (Fundacion ValenciaPort). The seminar gave the opportunity to discuss in detail the PROEBIKE project results and the possibilities for continuation of pilot actions based on results obtained in the project. Also, different parallel sessions were organised in order to discuss in detail potential projects/actions to be carried out following PROEBIKE approach in order to look for the promotion of electrical bikes and scooters for delivery of goods and passenger transport in urban areas. Within this ideas, the role of local authorities and the support of ICT technology for business was pointed out as relevant. The regional dissemination seminar organised was also a great opportunity for disseminate the PROEBIKE Information toolkit which was handed over to all the participants in the event. The event helped also to have a networking session during the coffee breaks, providing also an opportunity to disseminate the activities which are being carried out by the Cluster de Logistica Urbana de la Comunidad Valenciana (Cluster for Urban Logistics in the Valencia Community) in which ITENE is one of the members. A mailing was carried out by ITENE to invite all the interested contacts Promotion of the event was done by ITENE in its web page The web site of ITENE provided a link for the registration 3. Concept of the seminar The regional dissemination seminar was a great opportunity to: on the one hand disseminate PROEBIKE project results and on the other hand to discuss about challenges that cities are facing in terms of achieving a sustainable urban mobility and logistics in which e-bikes (electric bikes and electric scooters) will play a major role in the future. The seminar gave the opportunity to discuss in detail the PROEBIKE project results and the possibilities for continuation of pilot actions based on results obtained in the project. Different presentations were carried out by the participants showing potential ideas for collaboration in projects based on PROEBIKE principles and pilot actions. Information about these presentations is included in the annex section. Examples of these presentations were: ITENE: explained the main PROEBIKE project results, including the Simulation tool that helps business to evaluate the potential impact of the introduction of e-bikes in their activities ENCICLE: explained their experience in PROEBIKE and their missions as a sustainable delivery company ASDISLEV: presented the challenges faces by the HORECA sector (Hotel, restaurants, catering) when it comes to delivery and logistics LISSIT and RUMBO: presented ideas for ICT tools applied to urban logistics In addition, different parallel sessions were organised in order to discuss in detail potential projects/actions to be carried out following PROEBIKE approach in order to look for the promotion of electrical bikes and scooters for delivery of goods and passenger transport in urban areas.
