1 BOKE PORT GENERAL PORT INFORMATION BOKE Port is a river port localized on the Rio Nunez river and is a Mining & Commercial port with two Terminals (Katougouma port and Dapilon Port) in the Republic of Guinea in West Africa. SUMMARY COUNTRY INFORMATION: Conakry is the capital and the largest city of Guinea. Conakry is a port city on the Atlantic Ocean and serves as the economic, financial and cultural centre of Guinea with a population of 2,667,000 about (in 2010). Kamsar Port is also a Mining city nearby of our Boke port. For your guidance, Boke port PFSO is Capt Li Guoji / TEL: AUTHORITIES AND DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR THE INWARD CLEARANCE Master to prepare the following papers for authorities during vessel clearance: Harbour master 1 port of call list (LIST OF LAST PORTS OF CALL) Last port clearance Harbour Customs Maritime Brigade 1 port of call 1 ship s store declaration 1 crew personal effects declaration 1 list of dangerous cargo (If any) 1 bonded store list

2 NOTE: Fuel figures should be declared before handing over papers to customs, they may fine the vessel if some figures are missing or un-correct. Soft drinks, beers and all bounded should be declared. The gifts to authorities are at the Master discretion as Agent we will not sign any bills for these items on vessel departure. So, the Master is free to give cheapest items as gift. He can get guidance from Agent during vessel clearance. Port Immigration Service 2 crew lists 1 port of call list ((LIST OF LAST PORTS OF CALL) Harbour health officer 1 maritime health declaration 1 vaccination list 1 narcotics list (including Master s cabin) Radio inspector Checks radio communication certificates and publications Port state control Check vessel docs and physical conditions (deck, engine and bridge) Check crew certificates Seamen' books compliance with flag State Check last PSC report Pollution control Check oil and garbage record books Sign hull painting request Ship's agent One copy of each document for vessel file NOTE: Port state control is very particular about rat guards and gangway net, which should be properly rigged on; otherwise they may fine the vessel. 2 security arm guards: Please arrange accommodation and meals for them during vessel port/anchorage stay. 1 crewmember will update visitor s logbook at gangway (according to ISPS requirements); as Port state control inspectors are checking same. No Lub-oil or Gas oil to be given to authorities during port / anchorage stay. It is of importance that all the authorities are welcomed on board normally they are offered a soft drink, when they're onboard the vessel only. Notification of arrival: Master to keep us duly informed of vessel ETA to the First Anchorage Position where the Inward clearance of the vessel will be performed with the Port Officials.

3 As Agent we will let you know in due time when the Boarding Agent and Port Authorities will come onboard your good vessel for the vessel clearance. In the meantime, we would appreciate you provide the below information for the vessel registration prior or on vessels arrival at anchorage station: * Boarding details: A sheet of paper containing the following info: - Vessel / voyage name /number - Call sign / name / owner / official number - Name of the master - Flag - Gross and net tonnage - Summer draft / length / max beam - Last ports called - Distance from last port measured in NM - Draft on arrival / time arrived at Abidjan roads - Time pilot embarked / time alongside / time pilot disembarked - All bunkers figures on arrival - Cargo tonnage for discharge / tonnage in transit - Number of Cargo to be discharged / in transit If you notice the Agent in advance we will be able to supply the following: Vaccinations Doctor Customs Clearance of ship s spare parts, parcels and ensure the delivery of ship s mail. Garbage collection is COMPULSORY. We will let you know in due course the company in charge of this service. One of their Agent will approach you in order to collect the garbage. After a certificate of garbage disposal will be given to you. Fresh water cannot be provided at anchorage. In case of Urgent need you can contact our Principals Representative (Winning Logistics Kamsar Office) if feasible. It is practically impossible to get Fuel oil bunkers at anchorage because there is no bunker barge available. In case of Urgent bunkering request, please contact our Principals Representative (Winning Logistics Kamsar Office) if they are able to supply the bunkers by Tugboat. There is no shop providing BA charts, only PHOTOCOPIES can be obtained with Ship chandlers at Conakry Port if your request is done five days before (without guaranty). Crew change can be arranged in Conakry on five (5) (working days) notice and if the costs are agreed including the transport fees at shore and offshore (by renting a speedboat). Entry / exit visa will be provided at airport. We will advise the costs involved in case of request. Ship s spare parts clearance: we can arrange customs clearance of all cargo (Import or Export) if we receive a request and documents in due time (ten days before the vessel s arrival).

4 NB: Robbery has been a bit of a problem in Conakry recently, but none declared in Boke port or Kamsar anchorage; thus we will put two arm guards onboard on arrival until departure to ensure the security and safety. So, we recommend the Master to be very careful. 'Better safe, than sorry though'. CARGO OPERATIONS AT ANCHORAGE LOCATION: - Anchorage Position for Cargo loading or unloading Operation will be advised by our Principals (Winning Logistics Operation Center in Kamsar). So, please call Winning Operation on VHF channel 8. - In general, Sea bed is sand, mud and shells. Proper for a good and safe anchorage. But swells and strong waves & currents can be noticed - Cargo operation is done by the Floating crane. Cargo will arrive by Barges towed by Tug boats. We recommend you to follow strictly the instructions and guidelines of Boke Floating Terminal (BFT). - Boarding Agent and Port officials will be on board for the vessel INWARD clearance upon arrival (at day time only), as well as OUTWARD clearance on the completion of vessel cargo operation. They will come on board your good vessel by speed boat or Tug Boat. You will be notified in due time. - CARGO SURVEYOR will perform the initial draft survey on vessel arrival and the final draft survey on completion of the vessel cargo operation. - During Cargo Operations, army soldiers on board are strongly recommended. (two security Guards for security reason. - Boarding Agent will deliver the PORT CLEARANCE before the vessel departure - The water density is between (rainy season) to (dry season). - Rainy season is from May to October, but important quantities of precipitations are in July, August and beginning of November. - Official working hours : 24 hours It is not allowed for prostitutes to enter the port area and go on board the vessel. In general crew should not to enter into business transactions with anyone coming onboard. No shore leave for the crew members, due to the transportation problems to go ashore, please contact our principals Winning Logistics Kamsar in case of sickness or urgent matter who will check feasibility and arrange an escort. If there is something you need that is not on the list, please let us know. There are quite a few contractors in the port and we can probably find one ship chandler who can help you.
