3 NOVEMBER 2018 EXTENSION OF THE CORRIDOR According to Regulation (EU) 1316/2013 which is amending the Regulation (EU) 913/2010 RFC 7 is extended to Germany and renamed to Rail Freight Corridor Orient/East-Med (RFC OEM). 4 GENERAL BASIC INFORMATION CORRIDOR INFORMATION DOCUMENT OUR NETWORK STATEMENT The Corridor Information Document (CID) provides all information in relation with Rail Freight Corridor Orient/East-Med such as legal background, infrastructure characteristics, access conditions, description of terminals, capacity and traffic management process. The CID is divided into five books: Book 1 - Generalities Book 2 - Network Statement Excerpts Book 3 - Terminal Information Book 4 - Procedures for Capacity and Traffic Management Framework for Capacity Allocation Book 5 - Implementation Plan Transport Market Study Investment Plan C-OSS Operational Rules All five books are available here: 4

5 GENERAL BASIC INFORMATION CORRIDOR ONE-STOP SHOP (C-OSS) Single contact C-OSS presents one single place allowing Applicants to request and receive answers regarding infrastructure capacity for international freight trains crossing at least one border along the Corridor. Single coordination C-OSS coordinates the national Infrastructure Managers and Allocation Bodies, to allow you a simple and fast booking of international paths for freight trains using an exclusive international IT tool: Path Coordination System (PCS) C-OSS publishes Pre-arranged Path (PaP) catalogue for your annual timetable planning 11 months before timetable change and Reserve Capacity (RC) for interim needs till 30 days before operation. C-OSS also deals with feeder and outflow or modified path requests, providing flexible offer. Single allocation decision C-OSS applies one internationally harmonized allocation rule and act on behalf of all IMs along the Corridor. 5

6 PRE-ARRANGED PATHS OFFER FOR TIMETABLE 2019 What are the Pre-arranged Paths (PaPs)? PaPs are pre-constructed international train paths offered for the annual timetable. RFC OEM PaPs consist of harmonized bordercrossings with guaranteed travel times between the borders. PaPs are published 11 months before the timetable change (X-11) and defined according to specific parameters (planned speed, maximum length, weight and profile). Praha/Kolín 4 PaPs per day Connection to: RFC 8 (Bremerhaven) Břeclav 24 PaPs per day Connection to RFC 5 Connection to: Praha/Kolín; Bratislava/Dunajská Streda; Soroksár-Terminál; Curtici Curtici 22 PaPs per day Connection to: Brno; Soroksár-Terminál; Sopron/Hegyeshalom; Constanta Port; Thessaloniki Port; Piraeus Port; Svilengrad (Turkey) PaPs are dedicated to RFC OEM thus protected in the IMs planning tools against unilateral modifiactions resulting from other capacity requests or lately announced capacity restrictions. PaPs are displayed in a transparent way in PCS and shall be allocated exclusively via C-OSS (single allocation decision). Applicants can request PaPs up to eight months before the start of the related timetable year (X-8) by using PCS as a booking tool. 7 SHORT-TERM CAPACITY PILOT A BRAND-NEW INITIATIVE! IN ORDER TO FULFIL THE NEEDS OF OUR BUSINESS PARTNERS PRODUCT Published and regularly updated cross-border capacity of the corridor displayed in PCS in a form of PaP Simple way to search and select the most fitting PaP due to special identifier Any origin/destination or intermediate point is allowed within the countries of RFC 7 No limitation in number of operational days within a timetable period fits to most planning procedure PROCESS Application via PCS using at least one PaP in the dossier (precondition for involvement of C-OSS) Application deadlines are close to the national deadlines (recommendation displayed in the C-OSS Matrix) C-OSS actively involved in the procedure providing single contact and coordination Harmonized international path offer at a short notice ROLL-OUT 6-month pilot Start date: 1 st December 2017 End date: 31 st May 2018 PARTICIPATION For more information please visit our website: 13

8 PROCESS STEPS FOR PAP REQUESTS WITH NON-AVAILABLE DAYS PaPs in PCS are displayed with full calendar for technical reasons, but the availability of running days is according to the list of planned capacity restrictions published on 15th December Detailed information on planned infrastructure works, total closures and alternative routes is available on the corridor's website ( Process steps: 1) PaPs with non-available days are published with full calendar. 2) Customers request PaPs selecting any calendar days 3) During the pre-booking phase the C-OSS will reserve requested PaPs with non-available days as Tailor-made. 4) The timetable offer from the IM shall consist of: a) Main timetable which is accoring to the reserved PaP. All non-available days shall be removed from the main calendar. b) Subsidiary timetables for the alternative routes. Alternative offer shall be provided for ALL non-available days. 14 INVITATION TO RFC PCS TRAINING DAYS The Rail Freight Corridors Baltic-Adriatic, Orient-East/Med and Czech-Slovak, in close cooperation with RNE (Rail Net Europe) are pleased to invite you to the: RFC PCS Training 2018 in Budapest Our annual training provides you with valuable, practical insights needed for requesting capacity on the Rail Freight Corridors. Moreover the training is going to introduce you to new features and functions in PCS, inform you about the latest news from RFCs, about the planned PCS development for TT2019 and give you the chance to practice live with individual and corridor-specific exercises. The PCS Training is organized jointly by the Corridors: Baltic-Adriatic, Orient-East/Med and Czech-Slovak. A plenary session, organized by all three Rail Freight Corridors together with RNE, during which general information and new PCS features will be presented. 2. PRACTICAL INFORMATION Participants need to bring their own notebook and their PCS-account. The training will be held in English.
