7 PART 20 - Grandfathered Services Original Sheet 7 ESS - ACD SERVICE (Cont d) A. TYPE B SERVICE (Cont d) 2. Description of Features a. Add-On Conference and Consultation Hold allows an agent to establish a three-party conversation. The agent also has the option of keeping one of the two parties on hold while having a private conversation with the other. b. Agent Assist and Agent Call Terminal Lines These two additional lines may be provided for each supervisor to handle agent requests. Either of these lines may be terminated in the 500A console and are capable of intercommunicating, add-on, consultation hold, transfer, and exchange access in the same manner as the ACD agent. Both of the lines allow a supervisor to call or be called by an agent on a dial up basis and can be equipped for the service supervising option. However, there are functions unique to each: (1) Agent Assist permits agent to initiate calls for assistance. (2) Agent Call permits supervisor to initiate calls to an agent. If an agent is busy, when a supervisor calls, the ESS automatically sets up a call-back condition so the agent can depress a key and have the call-back routed to this line. An Agent Assist or Agent Call terminal may be terminated on the unused keys of a TOUCH-TONE type multiline key instrument or on single line TOUCH-TONE type instruments. c. Agent Emergency Alert permits the agent to signal an emergency situation by depressing a key which signals the ESS equipment to print out the agent position and connected line or trunk number in the central office and on the TTY, if provided, for possible call trace, lights lamps in the Agent Status Display, and activates a switch for audible alarms or for audible monitoring. d. Agent Status Display Console has lamps that display the status of up to 20 agents. An agent's status may be shown on one console or multiplied to more than one display console. At the option of the customer, the status of two agents may be shown on the same lamp in the display console. 8 PART 20 - Grandfathered Services Original Sheet 8 ESS - ACD SERVICE (Cont d) A. TYPE B SERVICE (Cont d) 2. Description of Features (Cont d) e. Alternate Traffic Routing provides for automatically rerouting calls from the normal answering split to either another split of the same ACD System (intraflow) or another ACD or PBX System (interflow). f. Call Origin Announcement informs the agent of the source of the incoming call following "zip tone". Only one common announcement may be provided for local and Inward WATS calls. Separate, unique announcements may be provided per incoming FX trunk group or Tie Line group. g. Call Transfer allows incoming calls to an agent position to be transferred to another position, or outside of the ESS-ACD System, e.g. another ACD System, a PBX System including Centrex System, or an instrument. h. Calls Waiting Indication is a visual indication of the length of time a call in sequence is experiencing. Up to three timing indications are available per split. The timing thresholds are as specified by the customer in increments of six seconds from 6 to 42 seconds. Description of Features (Cont d) i. 500A TOUCH-TONE type console is provided for use with Type B Service and has the capability for receiving and processing incoming ACD calls; receiving calls or calls transferred to the "EXT" key; dial "9" access to central office trunks associated with ESS-ACD and arranged for outgoing service; call hold; transferring calls up to four preset points; direct communication with the supervisor; recalling the city of origin announcement; indicating when a call is waiting longer than the customer defined threshold; release of any key via the single depression; disconnecting an incoming call; silencing the headset transmit path; receiving ACD calls even if commercial or standby power falls. j. Delay Announcements (1) Standard Recorded Announcement Frame (a) (b) Fixed - a single delay announcement to incoming calls which indicates there will be a delay before answer. The announcement is fixed at 11 seconds in length. The content is customer specifiable and changeable via Service Order. Flexible First Delay Announcement - provides a separate delay announcement to incoming calls when the state of unanswered calls in the split exceed a customer specified threshold. (2) Dynamic Traffic Display - provides a display of five traffic conditions, updated each 100 seconds and Calls Waiting Indication if equipped. If there are two displays, both will contain updated information 6.4 seconds after the start of the update, although the data may not be precisely the same on both displays. k. Intercom Calls with PBX Systems or another ESS-ACD System - intercommunicating lines between an ESS-ACD System and a PBX System including Centrex and another ESS-ACD System are furnished as tie lines. For those PBX Systems that require calls processed within the ESS-ACD System by specific personnel, a station line may be terminated on "spare" keys of 500A-type Consoles or multiline key sets. l. Key Control and Alarm Console - 40 button capacity. Ten buttons may be equipped to visually indicate equipment alarm conditions; up to 30 buttons may be used to activate or deactivate threshold conditions such as for alternate routing of traffic, to initiate night transfer, or to restrict two-way trunks from handling outgoing calls during certain times of day, by equipping a console button (or separately mounted key) on a per trunk group basis. Night Transfer Service provides the capability to transfer calls from a split to another specified answering location, e.g. to another split, another ACD system, or an instrument. The customer can activate or deactivate the night transfer service option by means of a premises located key for each split which is equipped with the option. When no directory number is provided as a night transfer point, the entire split will be made busy to incoming calls upon activation of the night transfer key associated with that split. n. Queueing is the arrangement whereby incoming calls are held awaiting the availability of an answering position and are unloaded from the queue on a first-in, first-out basis. A queue slot is required for each call to be held in queue. o. Service Supervising requires the dialing of a special access code prior to an agent position number. Customers must specify which agent assist or agent call terminals in their system are to be equipped. (Service supervising is provided subject to tariff regulations covering its use for service assistance and training.) p. Split is a customer designated grouping of answering positions that perform a particular function. Each split has its own directory number trunk group. q. System Display and Control Equipment enables customer control and reconfiguration of the System directly from his premises. Provides for reassigning individual agent positions among available splits and report groups; enabling a new pattern (up to 8) of agents-to-splits or up to 8 patterns of agent-to-report groups; and displaying agent positions assignments to splits and report groups and incoming call peg count register reading. An optional printer may be provided to produce hard copy information for use after a count is obtained. The second segment (Variable Monthly Rate) will apply for the time the equipment to which it applies is retained by the customer and this segment is subject to change. (b) (c) (d) (e) At the customer's option, a lump sum payment may be made at any time during the payment period. The payment will be based on the present worth equivalent of the Fixed Monthly Rates remaining in the payment period based on an 8% time-value factor found in a present worth table. In the event a customer should discontinue all or part of the service prior to expiration of the payment period, the customer will be required to pay an amount equal to the present worth equivalent of the Fixed Monthly Rates remaining in the payment period based on an 8% time-value factor found in a present worth table. Applicable termination credit to reflect the reuse value of the equipment is subtracted from the present worth equivalent. Any deferred installation charges are also due. When provided under an Option II rate plan and with the written permission of the Company, the service may be transferred to another customer. In addition to assuming the responsibility to pay the Fixed Monthly Rates remaining in the payment period, the new customer assumes the conditions applicable to the offering at the time of transfer. Any equipment additions or rearrangements are subject to the rates and charges applicable as provided for in the tariff. A transfer fee of $ is also applicable on any service transferred under the conditions provided herein. The monthly rates for equipment additions made to a system under the Option II Rate Plan subsequent to the initial service date may be charged at the option of the customer under either of the following arrangements: - A new Option II payment period may be selected for the equipment additions, using the payment periods as specified in (2), following, or - The monthly rates for the equipment additions as specified under Option I rate plan may be applied.
