3 Overview Florida s largest port in cargo tonnage and area 5000 Acres, Florida s deepest port at 43 feet Diverse mix of bulk, break bulk, and container traffic Major fertilizer port and energy gateway for state Tampa Port Authority, d/b/a Port Tampa Bay, formed in 1945 Commercial beginnings of the port date back to mid 1800 s with shipment of cattle to Cuba Containers Cruise RoRo Break Bulk Bulk Port Tampa Bay is an Omni Port A Full Service Port 3

Population Growth Projections Central Florida s growth forecast will double that of South Florida by 2020 Executive Shippers Council Association of local BCOs (exporters and importers) eager to support carriers that choose to call Tampa direct. Reduced Transportation Costs Serving the Central Florida market through the Port of Tampa results in truck cost savings of approximately $1000 per container versus using more distant and congested ports. 6

7 Opportunities and Potential for Port Tampa Bay Port Tampa Bay Port Tampa Bay is in a Strategic location at intersection of major eastwest and north-south trade lanes proximity to Latin America and Panama Canal expansion Mix Suez, Panama and Northbound traffic in offshore DC; Transship to US Markets Rendering of New Panama Canal Locks Scheduled to open in Port Tampa Bay is the closest full service American port to the Panama Canal

8 Port Tampa Bay Container Terminal Expansion Currently: 43 foot (13 meters) deep water berth 3 gantry cranes/mobile harbor crane 2800 feet (855 meters) of berth 40 acre (16 hectares) Expansion: Largest Terminal Operator and Stevedore in U.S. Port Tampa Bay has ordered 2 additional post-panamax gantry cranes for delivery in 1 st Qtr Together with Ports America, PTB has a phased build out plan to quadruple the size of the terminal to 160 acres (64 hectares) and add an additional 1000 foot deepwater berth. 8
