During the reshaping of the roadway the contractor will be required to pull shoulders to remove any irregular shoulders and create a smooth transition into a 4:1 inslope. Portions of the roadway have inslopes requiring reshaping to eliminate a false shoulder. The false shoulder should be brought up onto the roadway as directed by the engineer and worked into the existing roadway (see typical sections). The Contractor shall mow and disk the area of the inslope to be pulled up, prior to pulling the material up. The disk shall be a manufactured shoulder material reclaimer. (Other methods to minimize roots and foreign matter may be proposed for consideration by the engineer).
