14 Waste Management In German Camps In Afghanistan (1) Recycle goods and reduce waste wherever possible. (2) Burn clinical and infectious waste safely on base.. (3) Ship hazardous waste, that can not be treated safely on base or in the host-nation back to Germany. (4) Reduce the maximum amount of solid waste and dump only harmless waste in the host-nation. 14

15 Waste Management In German Camps In Afghanistan Recyclable Materials in Afghanistan are: wood paper, cardbord PET/ platics, tins, cans tins, cans scrap metall used mineral oil 15

16 Waste Management In German Camps In Afghanistan On Base Waste Incineration In Camp Marmal Mobile waste incineration with flue gas purification to burn the clinical and infectious waste of medical service. The incineration capacity is max. 7 kg/ h clinical waste or max. 150 kg/ h domestic waste. 16
