For the first time, food & beverage logistics had its own booth Restaurant & Bar Hong Kong is the leading fine dining and bar exhibition in Asia-Pacific. It took place in Hong Kong, from the 2 nd to the 4 th of September, and food & beverage logistics has been a successful exhibitor there. We had a chance to get in touch with many potential customers from top-quality food services and bar markets and show them our flexi-tank model, an efficient maritime transport of bulk liquids, that caught the attention of many wine producers and distributors. Finally, on the last two days, we celebrated inviting our clients to a German Happy Hour, with traditional pretzels and Astra beer from Hamburg.. The food & beverage logistics team would like to take this opportunity to thank Ms. Ciska van der Schalk for taking care of all the preparation needed to guarantee our outstanding participation at the fair!

HARTRODT KOREA: NEW WAREHOUSE ANNOUNCEMENT HND Corporation: warehousing and 3PL services in Korea About a year and a half ago, a. hartrodt Korea invested in a share of HND Logistics, whereby H stands for hartrodt, N stands for Nexus (a Japanese distribution company specialized in the distribution of medical equipment) and D stands for Daewoo Logistics, the forwarding arm of the Daewoo group, which is involved in all sorts of heavy industrial activities. A new state of the art warehouse was built out of this partnership, at Busan new port, in direct proximity to the biggest container terminal in Korea. And from now on a. hartrodt will be able to use this warehouse, whenever required, as CFS (Container Freight Station). The building is equipped to handle all sorts of cargo, also with unusual dimensions. The warehouse area extends over nearly 29,300 sqm, with a gross warehousing facility of 14,156 sqm on two floors, and has three temperature controlled rooms, with a storage capability of 8000 sqm, specially designed for chilled food & beverage products. Obviously a. hartrodt Korea is very proud of this new facility, which will enable the company to offer a much wider scope of services to its existing customers operating through the port of Busan. Moreover, from now on shipments to North China and all Japanese out-ports will be transshipped and consolidated to own controlled boxes within no time..

HARTRODT SOUTH AFRICA: CAPE TOWN BRANCH OFFICE MAKES HISTORY New a. hartrodt warehouse in Cape Town 4th August 2014 food & beverage logistics received its first commercial import unpack container into the new warehouse in Cape Town. This marks the start of extended product offerings to a. hartrodt clients in terms of unpack, palletization, storage and delivery services all under one roof with absolute and complete control within the logistical chain. Cape Town warehouse is based on the premises of a. hartrodt and is conveniently situated 3 km from Cape Town International Airport and 15 km from Cape Town Container Terminal, ensuring optimal control of clients cargo and multipurpose berths, immediately adjacent to the N2 National Highway. It is a completely self-sufficient facility, which ensures uninterrupted efficiency and secure easily accessible solutions, particularly for the food & beverage customers: dock leveller facilities with safe, fast and convenient container handling, including full trailer handling - containerised, palletised or loose cargo. Moreover, being accredited with the Department of Agriculture and Forestry and fully compliant with health and safety legislation (including specialized permits relating to food & beverage products, like the PPECB: Perishable Products Export Control Board) this warehouse plays an important role, not only in efficient and smooth import, export and distribution, but also in completing the logistical supply chain with correct, complete and accurate documentation on time, every time. a. hartrodt flexi-tanks have already been prepared and stocked, ready for many both supply and fit services to come!
