4 Vast experience gained from operating in tough conditions For more than a quarter of a century, Stena Oil has provided offshore bunkering services in extremely tough conditions in the Nordic areas to our international clients. Over the years we have accumulated a vast amount of valuable experience, partly from being a seller but also as a buyer. 6 Customized tankers and experienced crew In order to maintain the highest standards of safe and reliable service, same as provided to ship owners in Scandinavia, the tankers we use in West Africa are rebuilt and customized for operating in this region. Our vessels are equipped with the latest technology for efficient operations and for example carry flow meters to verify the volumes supplied. M/T Tarnfors (8.245 DWT) The crew is all well-trained professionals with long experience from offshore bunkering. Both vessels and crew have undergone the same stringent quality assurance programme called Green Bunkering, same as used in the Scandinavian operational area. (see next page). Our vessels are the double-hulled tankers M/T Tarnsjo ( DWT) and M/T Tarnfors (8.245 DWT). M/T Tarnsjo ( DWT)

7 Focus on quality and safety management More than a decade ago Stena Oil became involved and created a safety agreement package for the Scandinavian waters called Green Bunkering. A formal set of rules was adopted, encompassing the following items: Pressure test of hoses up to 10 Bar All tankers must carry oil pollution prevention equipment including 50 meters of oil booms with absorbing material functioning as first aid in case of an oil spill Clear communication requirements between tanker personnel and receiving vessel crew Special education and training of tanker crew Annual vetting of bunker tankers Electronic overflow alarms on each bunker tanker Checklists and operational procedures Once all these requirements have been met, the bunker tanker is awarded the Green Card. Without this card no bunker tanker is allowed to perform bunker operations in the area which issues the Green Card. Since these rules entered into force in 1999 not a single drop of oil has been spilled into the water.
