2 Foreword & Guidance for readers Foreword The Sub-committee and meetings held at the headquarters of IMO in London have been completed. To keep you informed on the involvement of Bureau Veritas, as advisor to the French Administration (occasionally to Germany, Netherlands and IACS) in the IMO developments, a list of the BV participants to the IMO Sub-committee and meetings, who have contributed with their expertise to the established working groups and drafting groups is included hereafter for information. The programme of the IMO meetings scheduled for 2015 has become available and the dates of the IMO Sub-committees and s related to Bureau Veritas involvement is included in this document for easy reference, including an overview of the expected working groups/drafting groups to be established at the next sessions. A working group addresses technical issues based on the given ToR and is reporting back to the committee or sub-committee with a written report including recommendations and conclusions. Drafting Groups are established during or Sub- meetings for selected Agenda items, with agreed Terms of Reference by the Member States. A drafting group finalizes the draft text of amendments to mandatory instruments based on the given ToR with a view to approval or adoption by the relevant. 2
